Healthy alternative to chips
-
Stuff like potato chips, doritos, cheetos, fritos, takis, popcorn, and all that stuff is really convinient to snack on but none of them are healthy. Is there something crunchy that tastes good that is healthy to snack on sometimes?

Ray sometimes recommended tortilla chips fried in coconut oil as a good salty snack. There's a few companies that offer them, I like Gilly Loco but there's also Masa Chips and a few others. They are also pretty easy and cheap to make yourself too. Just slice some corn tortillas with good ingredients (corn, lime/calcium hydroxide, and salt) into tortilla chips and fry them in a pan with coconut oil until crispy. Add salt (or other seasonings if you like).

Sure you want sth less toxic.
Most fried snacks are made with sunflower oil, supposed to be healthy for most people but we know here it’s not, because rich in PUFA (85 % W6 most of the time).
As chips are made of potatoes, rich in starch, when these chips are baked, usually at more than 120 - 130° C (248 - 266° F), the asparagine from potato become acrylamide. Of course, you’ll find “studies” with the opposite mention (nothing proved). So far, studies in people haven’t found a clear link.
So make a search with: acrylamide and cancer. And “Maillard reaction”. By the way, if you add some lemon juice or apple vinegar in a cake, you won’t get so much reaction.
NB1: Fried potatoes have the most acrylamide. Roasted have less, and baked are even lower.
Stored potatoes contain more asparagine than the young potato. Avoid green peel.
NB2: I still eat chips but not on a usual way. Thicker fries / chips has less surface area, so less problematic.
Health Concerns:
Acrylamide is considered a "probable human carcinogen" by the IARC and "reasonably anticipated to be a human carcinogen" by the NTP. -
@Isaac Wasa crackers are good for fiber. Bugles are fried in coconut and palm kernel oil. A lot of groceries sell coconut rolls that are just rice flour and coconut.
