@Corngold I remember a clip where Ray Peat spoke about how some entity had analysed sodas and found that their so called high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) content was actually not so high in fructose. Much of the corn syrup hadn’t been converted to sugar, and remained in the form of starch, making the calorie content a multiple of what it was stated to be. I don’t know if that is still the case, but wouldn’t be surprised if it is still so.

RE: Pregnenolone doesn't disolve in coconut oil
@Insomniac yeah, I should’ve said “doesn’t easily dissolve”

RE: Pregnenolone doesn't disolve in coconut oil
@Insomniac yes it apparently doesn’t dissolve in any kind of oil, and seems to be be difficult to dissolve in general. Maybe that’s one of the reasons Peat went with progesterone when he devised Progest-E

RE: Energy Drinks
@Jakeandpace i like to have a redbull sometimes but have to stop at half a can. More than that makes me jittery and sleepy at the same time. Half a can is just right and does the trick. Have never tried monster. And yeah, wish RB didn’t have b12 and had another acid not citric, but overall it seems to be a good quality product

Powdered cream, etc
Of course food processing is suspect, fresh is better, and additives ought to be avoided. But is there any intrinsic reason to avoid powdered cream itself? Or even whole milk, buttermilk, or other fat containing dairy item? (Thought I had read something about the cholesterol component) Ie, is the product itself markedly compromised when it is dried and pulverized, at least by peatarian standards? Thanks for reading/responding.
