@GRay good question. was wondering myself, after brewer’s yeast and Energin, which (Peat friendly) B-complex would be best for someone who'd like the option of taking a tablet or capsule.

RE: Bloodwork shows elevated TPOAb (Hashimoto's disease)
@insufferable selenium you can get from seafood. Also mushrooms. Just make sure they’re well cooked. Raw mushrooms have unhealthy or toxic components that are eliminated via cooking

RE: Bloodwork shows elevated TPOAb (Hashimoto's disease)
@insufferable Two things that might help.
One, I think haidut had said that ray said that hi tpo not usually something to be concerned about. It stays hi after an event that spikes it has elapsed.
Two, best not to supplement with iodine. I get non iodine salt. Ray had said that it can actually be anti thyroid. -
RE: High dose biotin and liver cancer.
@Living_thing ok. What you might try, if you like, is dissolving the yeast in warm water as ray suggested. Then just use the water (where the vitamins are) and throw out the solids. That way it’s easier to digest and makes a nice broth by it self with a sprinkling of chives or onion powder and salt to taste. Or Can be used in soups, stocks, sauces, etc

Re the guy who is said to have s hot the insurance exec
About three minutes in: he had talked about "inherited or inter generational trauma"
Both genetic and epigenetic mentioned in the discussion -
RE: What is you best advice to deepen voice
@William-Shat
Good question. It’s been said before, but simply relaxing breathing deeply and speaking from the chest (or diaphragm as @albion says) instead of the mouth can do wonders. Being constantly aware to do that whenever you speak will, sometimes quickly sometimes gradually but either way definitely, result in improvements.
Same exercise would help women too, in a different way, by making their voices clearer and less strained. -
RE: High dose biotin and liver cancer.
@Living_thing I I would try to up b1 with (lean) pork (eg, ham) and seafood, b3 with lots of OJ, all b vitamins with brewer s yeast (eg sprinkle on soups popcorn etc) and k from liver or kale. One can always add actual supplements. Ironically it seems Aniprin brand veterinary aspirin is the one of the ones with the least or no additives.

RE: Does anyone use the Thorne d and k (in one) drops?
@Luke yes . Something about it s best not to take tocopherols (e) and quinones (k) together. I think Haidut once said if one is much less than the other, it would not be a serious concern. I wonder if the ratio of e to k in the Thorne d&k drops would make it not a big deal. The E is in there as a preservative.

@wester130 Thank s will take a look

RE: Nervousness after nicotine/caffeine
@peatolish with cream and sugar is the right way is the peat way. Any one, hypo or not, having black coffee with out any thing sweet is asking for trouble.

RE: High dose biotin and liver cancer.
@Living_thing Don’t know about this particular case, but have heard ray consider some things/doses not worth the risk of taking, unless one has cancer. This might be one of those instances.

RE: Does anyone use the Thorne d and k (in one) drops?
@the_black_jew thank s I have other forms, eg Carlson. Just that I had (when I started this thread) already accidentally bought the Thorne d and k combined and was wondering if it is of any use or too harmful and I should put it aside.

@the_black_jew
Thanks but idea labs doesn't have a d in oil it seems. I think they say steroids are best absorbed in oils, d(3) being a (seco)steroid.
Is it workable to dissolve a dose of calcirol in, say, mct oil when applying it on the skin, or would that de-potentiate it? -
RE: Instant potato flakes
@MuleMan good question. Don’t know but after all they are a result of cooking and cooling at certain stages of production. And that seems to be a no-no insofar that it results in increased resistant fiber. If it doesn’t cause issues for people I guess it would be ok, although too much resistant fiber isn’t great for anyone.
I enjoy bob s red mill brand. Tastes good, dissolves well, and has no additives. Seems they use better quality potatoes than other brands I’ve tried. -
Does anyone use the Thorne d and k (in one) drops?
I’m wondering if the tocopherols (as preservatives) in it are problematic given the tocopherol-quinone clash, if i could call it that. Would appreciate any feedback.

RE: Can't quite ever "finish" a yawn
@raytreats know what you mean. Sounds like you might b lo in co2. Maybe try bag breathing. Just take a small or medium paper bag (preferably paper but I guess plastic works), and breath normally into it until you feel uncomfortable (a few minutes max for most people) Helps to listen to music or watch some thing so you don’t get overly focused on your breathing. A few times a day if you like. If you don’t notice a (maybe subtle) improvement right away, you’ll probably notice one after several days or so.
Seems the practice was devised by a Japanese guy. I forget his name.
