@LetTheRedeemed
ray peat mentioned anti inflammatory substances:
sugar, aspirin, progesterone, lidocaine and food sources of magnesium and calcium, eg, eggs, dairy, coffee and leafy greens (eg spinach)

RE: Transmitters on endangered species - How much of an electromagnetic radiation (and other) risk are they?
@DavidPS skimmed it but seems they took safety parameters as a given and pretty much took it from there rather than investigating individual effects. But maybe I need to read it more carefully.
At least sounds like the animals in Vienna are subjected to the less invasive transmitters than their American counterparts. Thanks -
RE: Need help with bowel movements
@James
bicarbonate.
OJ
milk
eggs
spinach are all relatively high in bicarbonate. If you’re already having those, i guess you could add a little
baking soda in your juice or on your eggs or spinach instead of or along with table salt. Cooking with
coconut oil (eg frying eggs) or adding it to grated
carrots (one or two, once or twice a day) would probably also help as would adding a little
olive oil or butter to your food. Adding
vinegar helps and makes it tasty.
Salt too. When you don’t have time, munching on a few
pre cut mini carrots will do the trick.most importantly try to avoid supplements. Seems their impurities and excipients, more often than not, confound the problem. Lo dose cypro shouldn’t be a problem. Probably helps.

RE: The pro-metabolic effects of ultrasound
@Mauritio Thanks, helps alot!

RE: Transmitters on endangered species - How much of an electromagnetic radiation (and other) risk are they?
@ThinPicking Thanks. so any radiation effects are negligible? Wondering how it compares to a human being with a cell phone.

RE: The pro-metabolic effects of ultrasound
@Mauritio may we ask what calibre that device is and why you chose that particular measure?

RE: why does cyproheptadine make me feel like a fat man
@alfredoolivas Ray Peat would suggest starting on a fraction of one mg

Transmitters on endangered species - How much of an electromagnetic radiation (and other) risk are they?
For example, From
https://www.nhm.ac.uk/discover/new-zealands-quirky-kakapo-are-pulled-back-from-extinction.html
“Each kākāpō is named and tagged with a smart transmitter so scientists know their whereabouts and can collect data on their behaviour.”
Of course they help. But will they help more than interfere? Ie, what is the sum effect?

RE: Co2 Tablets
@cs3000
Cool. On google I searched for “malic acid baking soda co2” and got a recipe for 1:1 ratio but with citric acid. Would it still be 1:1 with malic acid, more or less?
And would pretty much any “mild” acid do the job? Thanks cs or anyone who knows -
RE: Antibiotics for parasites and H pylori
@happyhanneke Albendazole is supposed to be effective against parasites.
Not sure about the above meds only that Peat said that amoxicillin was among the less risky antibiotics. Another thing he would say was to take much lower doses of an antibiotic than people usually take. A fourth or even less, then adjust according to symptoms and results. -
RE: what is causing body hair/nose hair and ear hair if not androgens?
@wester130 stay away from licorice, it’s supposed to be highly estrogenic besides messing with your cortisol. I think mint is fine if it suits you, and have heard good things about vitex, so i guess worth a try.

RE: Potential cause(s) for a recurring yeast infection?
@Lastbird metergoline is supposed to be particularly good against can dida if that helps

RE: Phage and an anti viral
@jamezb46 OK.. would they re be any point in ramping up d or c intake when takin a bacteriophage, or would they be at cross purposes?
-
RE: Phage and an anti viral
@ThinPicking yeah i think i understand some of what you’re saying. Some supps have anti viral properties (eg cypro p4 theanine..) and then there are standalone rx antiviral s like acyclovir valacyclovir etc. I’m asking about both than ks

Phage and an anti viral
Does anyone know if it is ok to take an anti viral when also taking a phage? Seems one should not, coz a phage (bacteriophage ) is essentially a virus and in doing so, one might be sabotaging its purpose. Would appreciate any answer s, or even speculation, thanks.
