@Kvothe I think it's not so much a question of hard work, and more one of having very expensive lab equipment and access to laboratory test animals.

RE: Anyone home brew?
@RawGoatMilk88 Ray once outlined the way the old Armour company standardized their thyroid product. It seems like a rather intricate and ressource intensive process to make a good, consistent product. I doubt it is as easy as just drying up a thyroid gland and crushing it.

RE: PUFA/endotoxin cause Alzheimer Disease (AD), the plaques beta-amyloid/tau are protective
Thank you for sharing this interesting new angle. It fits very well with the recent interest in the connection between antibiotics and AD. In the last three years, several large studies looking at the efficacy of antibiotics have been started, and they should probably yield some very interesting results. In the end, it all comes down to your gut and endotoxins.

RE: Bioenergetic Germany

RE: Endotoxin/LPS causes muscle weakness/damage (myopathy), vitamin E is protective
@Bling5 Why would you take it on different days? Both can be taken continously and sholdl have nice, synergistic effects,

RE: Endotoxin/LPS makes humans callous and unempathetic
@haidut Empathy is a tricky process, especially in our culture that negates it. It requires good health, and ample biological energy. If the organism is faced with a detrimental situation in which most of the energy is required to keep itself alive, less energy can be used for the perception of other minds. In Mind and Tissue Ray talks about forming a "dominant" for other people as a brain process for acquiring impressions of other people`s internal life. It is probably one of the most energy-requiring process in the cerebral cortex, and something like endotoxin should be able to switch it off almost immediately.
“You know, the hardest thing in the world for a person may be to free himself of his
double, his automatic tendency to see himself, his faults, his shortcomings, his secret
deviance in everyone he meets; but even more difficult is to liberate himself from the
constant company of his double! And only from the moment when the double is
overcome is the road open to free communication with another! "It is then for the first
time that mind, heart, and word are revealed, making it possible truly to hear what it is
that makes the person one has encountered tick….An open heart and open and intelligent
hearing detect and understand in the other that which the individual had been unaware
of in himself, and which merely dully exhausted and tormented him from some
undiscovered part of his insides!" (Ukhtomksky) -
RE: Can I dilute SFA esters and anhydrol with MCT OIL?
@Mauritio Anhydrol is just ethanol, so you can dilute it with more ethanol. Why MCT?

RE: Danny Roddy on "avoid liquid thyroid"
@Mauritio How much are you taking? How many doses per day?
-
RE: Danny Roddy on "avoid liquid thyroid"
@Mauritio If you use 99% alcohol and shake it well upon mixing, it shoud dissolve completely and not precipitate afterwards. So not sure what's going on. You can put some of the alcohol you use in a small shot glass and drop some TyroMix into it. Then you can check, if the small lipid droplets dissolve when you stir it.

RE: Bioenergetic Germany

RE: Bioenergetic Germany
@Thyroid It's quite expensive, though. I also don't really appreciate hydrogenated coconut oil. It's just unnecessary. You can get Othüna Kokosfett for half the price.

RE: Danny Roddy on "avoid liquid thyroid"
@Mauritio I think because of the SFA esters in Georgi's product it's best to always use >99% alcohol for dilution. When I used lower percentages little fatty droplets would remain. Mixing it with 99,5% ethanol I haven't experienced any consistency issues, I believe.

RE: Danny Roddy on "avoid liquid thyroid"
@Jakeandpace said in Danny Roddy on "avoid liquid thyroid":
I think it's because it can't really be accurately dosed. He is probably right about this and I don't think this is out of some spite for Georgi. He's got years of experience dealing with clients, he often stresses the importance of the 'right' dose of thyroid.
What do you mean? There is no more accurate way to dose thyroid than using a liquid product. It's impossible to dose accurately choping up a little cynoplus tablet, but when you use a liquid product you can dilute as much as you like and use very accurate, minute quanities.

RE: Idealabs products threads
@Kvirion Good to know. I never quite understood why there are no real product descriptions on idealabs' website so that you have to go to the forum to look at the product description.
-
RE: Idealabs products threads
@TAG145 Since when is RPF down? Haidut might have the descriptions saved somewhere. Some people have created mirrors of the forum, so they shouldn't be lost.

I wonder when Charlie will gloat about the first person that successfully detoxed their child by killing them. This is absolutely astonishing - "hey, look my child is constantly vomitting and having green diarrhea. Bet none of your kids are detoxing this hard "

RE: New "Mission" of RPF
@ilovethesea It's obvious. Whatever he interpreted as his version of "the Ray Peat diet" with his limited brain capacity didn't work out for him, and now - instead of taking some responsibility for his own actions - he is angry and lashing out at a dead man, and anyone that questions his latest interpretations of something that is sufficiently simplistic and stupid enough for him to to wrap his head around.
He is incapable of introspection and critical thinking - he is the archetype of the religious zealot that sees his dogmatic, distorted beliefs reflected everywhere and in everyone. He did the same thing with Peat when he projected his religious ideas onto his person and dietary advice.
It was inevitable that he would some day end up with another deluded, completely amoral snakeoil salesman. I am sure that Charlie is not exploiting this as a better business opportunity, he is far too limited for that. I am convinced that he genuinely believes that he is a chosen apostle of the new messiah with their low-toxin-religion. It will be delightful and hilarious to see this thing come crashing down.
