@TexugoDoMel where does it increase muscle degradation and at what dosages? I think MPS heavily outweighs the degradation at certain doses and vice versa at @superphysiologic doses”

@thyroidchor27 you need to spend more time walking.

if you are unwilling or unable to walk more, then you need to either lift the weights more intensely, or consume fewer calories.

Put yourself on fire for peak energy metabolism.

        Ignore, judge, overcommit.

It's just a logical conclusion, I think what will define the balance between synthesis and degradation are the stimuli (e.g. mechanical like exercise, and "chemical" like nutrients in the diet, energy, hormones) or the lack of them.

You can see this kind of relationship between synthesis and degradation in hyperthyroidism, despite the doubling of testosterone the waste of muscle in hyperthyroidism is well known, I don't know if the result would be the same if you converted the rat/person into a kind of "hummingbird like being" by feeding it every half hour to see if the opposite happened.

tbh given that you're an intermediate who lost his gains just get your old gains back and then cut, it'd probably be the most efficient way to do this. i wrote what i wrote bc i thought you were a novice or smth

@TexugoDoMel most people who are diagnosed as hyperthyroid have high TSH. Their problem is cells not taking up the thyroid so they linger around in bloodstream. Not that the gland just said fuck it and released a flood of hormones

@thyroidchor27 Hi, how much fat? Just not shredded, or over a certain threshold that you think is an indicator of sub-optimal health?

@Truth latter but I come from a very high PUFA background. I think after I started Peating i probably lost atleast half my PUFA stores but the other half is still there and I can feel the effects it has on me. Sometimes when I take high doses of aspirin, and get the perfect nutrition and t3 dose I get to a state of being which I would suspect would be what very low PUFA would feel like. Im also confused because I look leaner in the mirror and my muscles feel tighter and bigger but the scale doesnt budge much

@thyroidchor27 if you are taking K2 you can gain a lot in bone weight. I echo what others are saying, low fat and low intensity exercise is key.

@thyroidchor27 someone on twitter, can't remember the @, was taking 15mg daily and gained 10-15lbs in a few months without diet changes.

I took 2-4mg/day K2 for four months while bulking and gained 35 lbs. Impossible to quantify how much was bone for me.

                            I'm currently taking 4g aspirin+ 10-12 mg K2 on a cut.

My best advice is to eat small meals. This will shrink your stomach and help prevent you from over eating. Allow yourself to feel hungry for long periods of time in between meals. Low protien, mostly collagen. High carb, starch or sugar. Eat fat to satisfaction, highly saturated obviously. Im at like 13% body fat and this typically how I eat. I consume OJ and 1% milk throughout the day as needed, lots of redbull and mexican coke (never water). Endangered species dark chocolate bars (1 a day). Sourdough bread (bread of heaven) with butter or cheese. I also eat lunchables and killer browny cookie dough brownies as my guilty pleasure. One raw carrot a day, away from other meals. Lots of oysters, occasional beef.

@thyroidchor27 its a waist, if Im thirsty I can always get hydrated with something that tastes good and contains vitamins, minerals, or at least sugar and caffeine. If you like it, I guess it'd be okay, but I generally do not have any issues with getting a decent amount of calories from drinks. Which ties into how I dont eat large meals, keeping my stomach small.

@thyroidchor27 bhai how TF are you struggling to loose weight/fat with all the peaty knowledge you have. Like it was during the start of this year I got introduced to RayPeat and peating but before that I was the same gym bro decently indulged into PUFA. Im not saying PUFAs and all the horrorible vegetables i ate in moderation helped me loose 20kgs in 6months - counting calories, cardio, long walks, water fasting, all did wonders for me. Do you still think to your high IQ self it's even worth peating without tracking calories thinking that you'll natural lean at some point? Counting calories = fat loss. How do you struggle with this?
