DIY Cardisuit
I want to have a co2 suit but im not paying >$1000 for one as advertised by conscious breathing fuck that. I figure you need some kind of airtight material (wetsuit/drysuit?) and then sew a couple of valves into the lining and im good to go. Was wondering if anyone else has done this already?

RE: What to do as a giga fatty?
@Him As context I have also been through the yoyo of weight loss going through traditional diet methods. Looking to make changes that stick rather than short term weight loss.

What to do as a giga fatty?
Hey I'm, 5'11 and 110kgs.
Trying to follow peaty principles with regards to diet. Im keen to drop a good amount of weight ASAP . How much exercise should I be doing weekly? Ive dropped a few kgs due to changes in diet but weight loss has stalled. I think the risks of being fat outweigh (hah) oxidative damage due to PUFA usage. My weight is definitely impacting my sleep for instance. How can i go about this sensibly without gimping my metabolism? During the day I have honey, fruits, skimmed milk and coffee and I have a dinner consisting of chicken/beef with potato and some good fats. This is going well for me, my digestive health isnt super but its much better than it used to be.
I was thinking of doing couch to 5km and getting a few runs in a week and then adding in some resistance training. Are there any former fatties that could share their process?

RE: Any help with vaginismus?
@TurkishPeater roleplay as Gorbachev and the berlin wall. Threaten to nuke that pussy from orbit if she don't open up. Play subliminals of wet fish slapping against marble tables on repeat whilst giving her neck massages. Trust

RE: Dizziness, acid reflux, fatigue. Help pls kind sirs kindly do the needful.
Thanks for the welcome
As you probably already know the key principle of Ray was: Perceive. Think. Act. He was against strict prescriptions and rules. Coffee, orange, and orange juice were just examples. His guidelines were focused on optimizing one's metabolism by providing balanced macro and micronutrients and balancing hormones - especially minimizing serotonin, cortisol, and estradiol. All are customized to a specific person.
that ive now become incredibly sensititve to coffee,
So, don't force yourself to drink coffee or orange juice, stop it for some time and try something else. Perceive. Think. Act.
For example, try Google like this "Ray Peat acid reflux or ulcers" - you should find videos like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynibO1D2_4YYes I've already made these adjustments, Im frustrated as quite a few of the more prominent suggestions Ray made dont seem to have moved the needle on my health significantly. Id say the things I've observed a strong positive health outcome with so far are the carrot salad and magnesium glycinate (not sure if this ones recced by Peat something I picked up from general alternative health spheres). I haven't tried any hormonal interventions yet but i think i need to famialirise myself with my physiology (body temp, heart rate, blood sugar) before I start
BTW Have you visited a doctor near you?
No but mostly because I don't think it will help, I should be more proactive in getting my own blood panel done but I haven't done that either. My previous experience with doctors with issues like this have been fruitless and its very inconvenient to see a GP in uk (have a 30 minute window during work hours to arrange an appt, oftentimes you wont get one)

RE: Is being incel the "new normal" in 2024?
@Him The incel ideology is in itself a form of learned helplessness

RE: Is being incel the "new normal" in 2024?
@Ray-Peat-Fanboy Its almost impossible to be an incel actually. Unless youve got some severe ED (your dick has been cut off for example) you can always go and bang a prossie. Its like picky eaters calling themselves invores or some shit because they think mushrooms are icky

@S-Holmes Just an initial glance at his website screams grifter . He seems caught up in the modern cult which feels very unpeaty to me. I will try his sodium acetate suggestion and let you know how i get on

RE: Dizziness, acid reflux, fatigue. Help pls kind sirs kindly do the needful.
@Kvirion Im still new to Peating, only found about him late last year, main thing ive done is completely cut out PUFAs and start having the carrot salad. I suspect I have some intestinal/stomach ulcers which are driving inflammation and probably contributing to the dizziness. I seem to tolerate starches like pasta, rice and potatoes very well. I suspect I should be reducing my fat intake as im used to adding cooking fats freely to meals. Funnily enough some of the peaty things ive tried (additional coffee with nutrition support and orange juice) have contributed to me feeling worse. It seems that ive now become incredibly sensititve to coffee, this is pure speculation but Im wondering if having a clearer digestive tract is allowing for more rapid absorption so things i could tolerate are now more damaging? I dont know.

Donβt go blindly increasing your metabolic rate willy nilly when you most likely have deficiencies. I discovered recently that I most likely have a zinc deficiency after supplementing it.
maybe there is something to this, ive experienced what feel like hot flashes a few times over the last couple of weeks, body temp is very high, high verbalisation and a big adrenaline dump. maybe i cant handle the higher metabolism right now.

Dizziness, acid reflux, fatigue. Help pls kind sirs kindly do the needful.
I'm pretty fucked up right now. Experiencing frequent bouts of dizziness, what i think is high blood pressure (whenever i check it it comes out fine though), have suffered from depression and anxiety for last 15 years or so, last year or so i am managing it a lot better but have been experiencing violent mood swings, think I have a lot of health anxiety which obviously when I'm not doing great adds to the issue.
Symptoms seem to be diet related although hard to say for certain, my tolerance for caffeine has dipped massively in the last month or so. Could happily have 3-4 cups a day now struggle with one.
Bags under eyes have become very pronounced and I also feel a lot of sweeling/ tension in my sinsuses/lymph nodes I believe? (on sides of neck where thyroid is plus underside of jaws plus ears and between eyes.
Was afflicted with pretty severe gastritis which I thought I had addressed with changes to diet, now eat carrot salad regularly and excluded a lot of triggering foods (chocolate, black pepper, chillis). Seems to be coming back with a vengeance, have been finding it hard to swallow which resolves if I frequently spit, seem to be generating a looot of mucus.
Is there anywhere I can go from here? Supplement wise I take vit d/k2 and magnesium glycinate and I frequently drink milk, was drinking oj (at least half litre a day) but have stopped due to acid reflux concerns. Frequently take baking soda and that doesnt seem to help.
I want to be more based and less cringe but my body is staging a coup. Dont know if Im pre-diabetic/diabetic (would be surprised im 31). I am obese but for the life of me cant seem to lose weight and keep it off, I have gotten under 100 kg multiple times but I am now fluctuating around 106/107kg, was 116kg at my heaviest. 5,11"+1/2". Help would be greatly appreciated. Im getting a general blood panel done, going to the optometrist to see if dizziness is related to eye strain.
