I think the vast majority of the transgender community still fall under the estrogen dogma. When I'm on twitter most of the trans women I see talk about estrogen, with a slight minority of them mentioning P4. But I do think the progesterone therapy is at least partially responsible for their regressive age look. If you see before/after photos of transgender women, they don't just look more feminine to me, they look younger too. Which I guess shouldn't surprise any of us, since we've been under the suspicion for quite some time now that progesterone (and DHEA) are the youth steroids.

alphagels has top notch DHT, but it's in DMSO (which I don't like anymore).

RE: PSA TO ALL PPL/DO (PurplePandaLabs/DragonOrdnance) SHOPPERS
I've never had a problem with PPL's raws. But I've only ever ordered T and DHT from them, so it's hard to say how legit they are when you only get the easy stuff. Something like Oxandrolone, which is very hard to get authentic, would be interesting to see in a test from them.
As a disclaimer I would like to state I haven't ordered from them in a long time. So the company may have went downhill since then. I'll say this, if you fuck up raw T suspension I'm not sure you can be trusted with anything else.
QSC seems to be a good stop for raws. I get most of my "pharma" from DashPCT though, very reliable for non-steroid stuff imo. They don't sell raws, I think proviron is all they got.

RE: Looking for experiences with metergoline
It's works but it's expensive, so I've only ever purchased it one time. I like lisuride better, but it's not the pure serotonin antagonist that metergoline is.
Metergoline might be an effective alternative to cypro if you can't shake that grogginess that cypro can cause.
Some unsolicited advice. but I actually think Blue Lotus is an extremely effective serotonin antagonist. I wanted to put that out there because I've hardly ever seen anyone talk about, even on the RPF.
But it's main actives are apomorphine and nuciferine, and it cause a complete blockade at 5-ht2 (2A, 2B, and 2C). It also agonizes dopamine receptors D1 & D2. I think, if I'm not mistaken, it also blocks some adrenergic receptors as well, which means it probably lowers adrenaline as well as serotonin. It's good stuff that I've always had a positive experience with. The extract would be best.

RE: Whats the deal with "Vitamin" A?
@Kvothe said in Whats the deal with "Vitamin" A?:
@jwayne I'm still not 100% sure whether this is all a business deal or just Charles' boundless stupidity. You should never make the mistake an underestimate how remarkably stupid and gullible Charlie really is. I can definitely imagine him believing all this nonsense. Stupidity, combined with religious dogmatism, and a rotten character can result in all kinds of unexplainable behavior.
If it was all just a scheme to direct clients towards good guy Garrett Smith, then Charles should be able to see that his behavior and religious messages will put most people off even if they are curious about the idea. But again, this presupposes a normal level of intelligence which I doubt Charles posseses.I err on the the side of boundless stupidity to be honest, lol. It's only when you look at Charlie the historical figure that the picture becomes clear to me. He hasn't always been riding Garrett's dick. Before the toxin A stuff he had already abandoned the forum's direction he just didn't make his opinions super well known. But it was in the writing. He was doing that weird fruit fast by that Dr. Morse guy. I just think he's a hypochondriac, and when, not if, but when he abandons this toxin A fad I'm going to be curious to see what the forum members do then lol.

RE: Whats the deal with "Vitamin" A?
@Verdad True, but in all seriousness, a rational dose of vitamin A for long-term would be much lower. I think when you start using vitamin A in dosages that high it's more like a drug, and there's nothing wrong with that per se, but people are using it to treat certain conditions rather than filling nutritional requirements. I think the 1/4-1/2 pound of liver weekly puts most people in that "sweet spot" for vitamin A.

RE: 400g carbs, still hungry
Are you nice and warm? A good metabolism on a very high-carb diet will make you warm and relaxed, especially in your extremities. It's really hard for anyone to say if the "metabolism is healing" because there's no marker to indicate such, and only you know how you feel. But here are some tips:
Do you feel warm?
Is your postprandial temps and pulse good?
Is your TSH, T4, T3, PTH, vit D, and prolactin all good levels?
Do you have dyslipidemia (over 250 mg/dl)?
Are you losing bodyfat, not necessarily bodyweight?I will say 400 grams is quite a lot, it's not insanely high, but it's up there. I clock in around 280-300 grams a day. If you feel good then keep it up...provided your thyroid, PTH, cholesterol, and all that other stuff checks out. I would personally eat a little more protein and a little less carbohydrate. But everyone's going to be different in this regard. I will say one thing, limiting protein can be very therapeutic in the short-term if you're dealing with excessive gluconeogenesis. But it's something you want to ideally fix, rather then going your whole life eating restricted protein.

RE: Any experiences with DHT?
I should've stated Mast is also stronger than bioidentical DHT as well. So not sure what the equivalent dosage would be for normal DHT.

RE: Any experiences with DHT?
@brightside said in Any experiences with DHT?:
It seems that for most people, the transdermal application leads to a high enough DHT conversion to cancel out any increases in estrogen. Not for me, but most people. Also, if you're using it with DHT, then I don't see why you would need an AI. But you can buy exemestane (30x12.5mg) for ~$40 pills locally (assuming you're in the US).
I personally don't see a need to use HCG. I just use a bit of preg and maybe some DHEA and P4. To be fair, I'm not super consistent with the T, and I think I don't raise my levels high enough to where I lose most of DHEA and p4 production.
@skylark said in Any experiences with DHT?:
So for now I might just play around with very low doses of T, just to get a feel for the hormone rather than achieve any results.
Good plan.
This is where things can get wonky to me. I will admit I'm no expert in hormones or anything of the matter, but I don't perceive DHT (at least in dosages below 100mgs) to be a very good anti-estrogen. You need to take enough DHT that you're actually suppressing the hypothalamus so that endogenous estrogen can't be created. Without that, it's very possible DHT will just lower SHBG enough to allow more free testosterone. Testosterone, as well all should know, can be easily converted into E2. I think Derek from more plates more dates could give a much better idea. But I remember him saying when someone was blasting T without an aromatase inhibitor he recommended taking like 150mgs of Mast with the T. So I think when we experiment with the neurological benefits of low-dose DHT (<100mgs) we probably aren't doing much to our estrogen, maybe a slight antagonistic effect to the receptor, but aromatase isn't really effected.

RE: Is long term use of low dose Cyproheptadine safe?
@Honeycomb No problem, happy to help. Just my 2 cents, but I think low-dose of cyproheptadine is fine (even chronically) if you provide yourself with enough glycine and protein in general. Both glycine and protein are very important for maintain liver function. Caffeine/coffee and TUDCA seems to help to a certain degree as well. The main thing is to just avoid low-protein diets though.

Ludwig von Mises's Human Action.
It's outdated, mostly incorrect, and...
BTW New Science says:
“Selfishness beats altruism within groups. Altruistic groups beat selfish groups. Everything else is commentary.” ― David Sloan Wilson, Edward O. WilsonThat tweet doesn't even accurately described Misesian economic models. There are no assumption based models in Austrian economics. So that person is referring to post-keynesian schools of thought...or it may simply be they're too ignorant to have thoughtful discourse in the matter. Either way, acting individuals make society possible. Without them, society ceases to exist.
@Norwegian-Mugabe said in How libertarian leaning is this forum?:
The German-speaking countries between 1770-1830 were the best period in history, and it was built upon Christianity. The Renaissance was also Christian. In other words, the peaks of mankind were fueled by the correct Christian beliefs. Christianity is reasonable and also our tradition, so we should try to build great Christian societies again. The marriage institution is the first thing that needs to be fixed. We should not allow no-fault divorce, and we should incentivize marriage much more than we do today in terms of tax breaks and more child support ETC.
I'm not sure what that has to do with ending the war on drugs. If you want to start a family based on strong christian moral convictions you're free to do so. But wielding the legislative branch to force everyone to be like you is no less authoritarian than what the progressives are doing right now.
@Norwegian-Mugabe said in How libertarian leaning is this forum?:
Moreover, all policies in all societies without exception are based on morality.
True, but out of my own rational self-interest. I need no higher authority to draw upon to realize it's in my own best interest to act in diplomacy and rational mutual partnerships to obtain the ends for which I act upon. Religious conviction is not the moral barrier that compels people to pay for good and services rather than stealing and killing for them. Rational sane actors do that regardless, and irrational or otherwise mentally ill people will engage in malevolent behavior regardless of those convictions.

Why?
To meet the demand of something with an adequate supply.

RE: How libertarian leaning is this forum?
@Norwegian-Mugabe Who is this god you speak of? You have a god given moral duty if you choose voluntarily to accept the word of god as valid. But the separation of church & state is the only thing that prevents our nation from devolving into another dark age. There is a world where religious zealots can be just as dangerous as drag queens to our children. Emotional cultural biases have no place in determining our liberties...our forefathers specifically fought and died to prevent that as well. Also taxation is theft, and regulation is anti-market, so in a way I agree with you we shouldn't be "legalizing" drugs. I should be able to open a lemonade stand and sell fentanyl to whoever wants it.

RE: How libertarian leaning is this forum?
I recommend reading Ludwig von Mises's Human Action. It's an indispensable read for anyone wanting to understand the subjective nature of humans.
-
RE: How libertarian leaning is this forum?
Humans act to achieve desired ends. That is all society is, acting individuals. A distinction between isolate and collective activities are a bit redundant to the matter, unless we're talking about forced collectivization...which means humans are no longer free to act in the pursuit to achieve desired ends.

RE: New "Mission" of RPF
This was me on the RPF talking about the toxin A baloney. I was never really reserved with my feelings about it's promoters either lol. I honestly don't know why I wasn't banned then. I don't think he was that active in 2020 though, can't remember.

@Barghest That's a shame, because I actually liked their magnesium hydroxide. It dissolves real well into carbonated water. But I don't give a shit now, I will search for a comparably good product elsewhere.

I'd love to be able to log in and rip him a new one, lol. I just can't because I'm not a paid member nor am I ever going to contribute to his forum again. I'm debating about never ordering from the lifegivingstore again either! It's my understanding he's affiliated with that company isn't he?

RE: the vitamin A toxicity grift needs to end
I mean, all the oily vitamins (A, D, E, maybe not so much K) have a cumulative effect. Meaning if you eat foods rich in retinoic acids you will take in more than you use on a daily basis. So I could see how if someone is being a retard and eating A rich foods everyday for a year straight they might develop hypervitaminosis or whatever the fuck it's called.
Again, only bumbling idiots will allow this to happen, and when it does quite frankly they deserve it lol. But people get these weird tunnel visions regarding diet man...it's weird. Peaters aren't so different either.
I can't stand it when someone says "bro...you peating?" Like what does that even mean? I'm inspired by bioenergectics because I've had the most breakthroughs with my personal health listening to Ray Peat. But this "peating" you speak of idk what that means. If means am I drinking a gallon of milk and a quart of OJ every day than no, I'm most certainly not doing that. If it means am I shoveling 5,000 calories down to "reignite" my metabolism then no, I'm not doing that either. I simply eat to support my metabolic rate.
Forums I think are vulnerable to having their original messages hijacked by charismatic individuals that join them. And all the impressionable people that show up to hear one thing quickly get distracted by a koolaid salesmen. RPF had a few of those, like that Nathan Hatch guy.
