@Hearthfire I started Baking Soda for deodorant, best for smells, but caused huge boils under my arms. Sad.

RE: Tongue Coating Won't Let Up
@fiester Not lately, but historically fasting hasn't helped with this no. I was shocked when after a fast I tried three years back, that even during it just liquids would stay in my stomach for hours.
But the tongue coat stuck around as well. -
RE: Tongue Coating Won't Let Up
@cornwallis It has not helped the tongue coating if that is what you mean.
Otherwise, it is hard to say, some weeks I’ll get slow digestion one day, other weeks, 4 days in a row. Not seeing a great difference.

RE: Tongue Coating Won't Let Up
@mostlylurking I can try B2 in high doses.
I have no trouble with alcohol though. -

@Peatly
I’m doing high dose Thiamine for my slow digestion now. Been on it for 3 weeks. -
Tongue Coating Won't Let Up
Here's my issue:
I've got bad GERD and periodic very slow digestion.
My tongue has a perpetual white coat.
It's been there ever since I was on flagyl in 2020 for a bad c.diff. infection I got and no doctor would see me due to the height of COVID.But I've tried everything I can think of here:
Mastic gum multiple times a day, low carb, carnivore, coconut oil pulling, using a water pic for flossing instead of standard floss, tongue scraping, brushing with only baking soda to avoid exposing my mouth to additives,, adding methylene blue to my diet, taking large doses of niacinimide and aspirin for their anti-microbial effects, and even using oregano oil pills, etc and it will simply not go away.I've taken pylori and sibo tests with no results, but this is such an irritating issue as anything I eat stains my tongue unless it's just meat.
What have you done that has helped you in this area?

RE: L-Glutamine Question
@mostlylurking Yeah, the big change I'll make today is thiamine in late morning after my coffee has had time to absorb. My normal night-time gram is right before I eat dinner.
And I'm adding mag. No glutamine yesterday.
I'm leery about taking it too long because some cancers eat it. But I was hoping my previous bouts of sore throat were coincidences. Hell, this may be too just because lots of folks are getting the flu or strep in my circle.
But I was really just thinking that if I take it until my acne goes away, I'll know I healed my gut dysbiosis, but alas.

RE: L-Glutamine Question
@retard SIBO Test came back negative.
It's difficult to get a thyroid test with my current insurance.

RE: L-Glutamine Question
@mostlylurking It's just funny that historically I get a sore throat about 5 days into taking it.
I wondered if I was imagining it, bought some for gut health and got a sore throat on day 7, lol.

RE: The pro-metabolic drug DNP, banned by FDA, may treat most diseases
Any good sources of DNP?

RE: L-Glutamine Question
@mostlylurking
I am currently taking a gram of B1 after my coffee and before bed every day.I rarely take mag but I have mag-bisglycinate that I can start.
I’ll cut out the glutamine for now I have a sore throat from either it or a virus that is going around.
Thank you

RE: Chronic Digestive Problems
@retard If I have a day or multiple days where I have slow digestion, I get terrible acne, often also eczema on my face.
-
RE: Chronic Digestive Problems
These symptoms are similar to my own.
Do you have tongue coating?
Also, do you ever eat, feel fine, but then feel too bloated and GERD-y to do anything at all an hour or two later for the rest of the day? -
L-Glutamine Question
I've experimented with L-Glutamine a few times in life as I have some fairly chronic digestive issues:
- Gerd
- Slow digestion
- Dairy/Bread/PUFA can cause terrible systic acne/dandruff
Weirdly, no IBS or anything, but clearly some kind of gut permeability. I also have a coated tongue.
Every time I've incorporated L-Glutamine after about 5 days of using it, I get a sore throat similar to strep throat or a really severe flu.
I figured it was sourcing so got some from Purebulk this time for one last attempt at using L-Glutamine to heal gut issues. Here I am on day 7 and my throat is sore as hell.
Anybody here have any idea what could be causing the sore throat when I use Glutamine?
Note:
For my GERD issues over the years I've tried PPIs, H2 blockers, plant based dieting, (I gave up on doctors at that point and attempted other things) Low-carb and Carnivore diets (these were super effective).
Since adding carbs back in I have a permanent tongue coat. I'll make another list of my history of digestive issues, but I'm adding this for context. -
RE: What are non-Peaty things you still do?
@Runenight201 But yeah, starch is good stuff sometimes, I love taters and I can eat them without heartburn if fried or boiled for a very long time.

@Chud Why do you take that stuff?
