RE: Posterior Pelvic Tilt and Bioenergetics
Update:
Have lost some weight by focusing on liver function (sunlight, thyroid, carrot salad, boiled white button mushrooms, lapodin) and have focused on that aspect of posture as well. Temps are maintained and bad water retention is reduced.
Still got a ways to go! Feel good and comfortable with moderate exercise too!

RE: Posterior Pelvic Tilt and Bioenergetics
@02hellandback The carrot salad is helping. Nate Lawrence's video and essay on improving gut health mentioned well chewing the carrot salad. I think it helps. Still got a ways to go but definitely noticing marginal improvements!
Doing a 2 week cycle of doxycycline and fenbendazole as well, hoping these approaches synergize.
Diet is varied but lots of sugary drinks (mostly sodas and energy drinks) and supplementing taurine and collagen. Other things include rice, beef, ice cream.
And the other reply mentioned how fixing APT lead to further digestive improvement. Really goes to show how energy and structure are interdependent at every level, or at least in this case haha.

RE: Do you guys think Dave Asprey will steal my coffee recipe?
@Peatful the joke is that Dave Asprey monetizes everything he does

Posterior Pelvic Tilt and Bioenergetics
Some in the Peat community have resolved posture issues by first resolving gut and thyroid/energy issues.
Yesterday I read about someone who resolved their gut issues by improving their posture (the reverse).
What would you do to improve posture and gut function especially with regards to anterior pelvic tilt?

Crohn's Disease Drugs
How Peaty are typical Crohn's drugs such as Humira, Rinvoq, Remicade? Is there one that's preferable?
What are some alternatives to consider from a Bioenergetic lense?

RE: Ray Peat Resource Thread
In Generative Energy podcast episode 35, timestamp 18 minutes and 48 seconds, Ray briefly mentions an article he wrote about 50 years prior called "The Assumption of Randomness"

I was wondering if the Ray Peat archivists could find any record of it!

RE: Why does allopregnanolone harm mood at higher dose?
Potentially, although I've supplemented the same amount and more of androsterone and not had this effect, or certainly not to that extent!
For the record, I'm a guy--- the ladies would likely get different results from androsterone conversion.

Why does allopregnanolone harm mood at higher dose?
I experimented with allopregnanolone about a year ago and noticed it had a concave dose response curve for mood. This tracks with the research I have read on it and others reported experiences but I am wondering why this is the case.

RE: Idealabs Cyproheptadine / Lapodin Reaction
@Mr-X maybe pregnenolone would help oppose this excess stress, lowering cortisol and so on so that other things are more tolerable.

Indoor air quality optimization: humidity
What is optimal humidity from a Peat standpoint?
Currently implementing negative ion generators but seeking to optimize air quality even more at my office.
I suspect the balance is pleasant effects from water suspended in air, and how conducive air is for mold proliferation.

Vestigial Organs in Light of Bioenergetics and Thyroid
Are most or all so-called vestigial organs such as appendix, wisdom teeth, sixth fingers, and the coccyx only "useless" due to impaired metabolism, and cell energy and structure?
How would development shift if t3, and youth/differentiating steroids were applied to vestigial organs? For example if ones jaw was "peated up" I wonder if wisdom teeth would arrive without issue.

RE: Brother is having month-long psychotic episode after "Peating"
What was his diet?
Did he have a lot of energy drinks and if so which ones?

RE: Brother is having month-long psychotic episode after "Peating"
@yeehawyinzer also, cyproheptadine and metergoline activate the same serotonin receptor
-
RE: Brother is having month-long psychotic episode after "Peating"
@yeehawyinzer was following Ashwagandha usage so if he was on any form of SSRIs in the past, could also be a factor,
not sure how THC is in play with all of these but would likely play a part
-
RE: Brother is having month-long psychotic episode after "Peating"
@brotherwentcrazy some of my darkest moments have been from cyproheptadine due to releasing stored serotonin apparently, would be very careful with it

RE: Anterior Pelvic Tilt (APT)
Increasing dopamine and oxidative metabolism seems to improve posture naturally.
And different stretches to build postural strength as well
