@raypneat I’ve been using it about 5 days a week for the past two months on my hair and face/beard. Feels like one of those old 5 gum commercials, just revitalizing and refreshing. As for longish-term results, hair softer and more volumous, dry skin healed (I live in a really dry and windy area, used to get chapped face and knuckles in winter, haven’t yet). BLOO + a high quality shower filter have simply increased my quality of life. It’s not magic, but it’s just really good and I plan on staying subscribed indefinitely.

@Peaterphile I really like Strauss whole milk with cream top. It’s non-homogenized and tastes delicious. Not sure how available it is outside California though. I know many prefer low fat or skim but I’m in my mid-30s and drink 2 quarts Strauss whole milk and have not gained any weight so the calories are not a problem for me. Milk fat feels really good to me. Also they make a chocolate milk that’s the best store bought choccy money can buy.

The nose stuffiness from bromocriptine is so annoying. I tried going as low as 1.25mg (half a tablet), and the nose would still be blocked. Nobody has been able to explain to me why that happens. Is it some serotonergic reaction?

@ZeroTron There are a couple of publications on Pubmed if you search for mead acid and some more if you search for eicosatrienoic acid, which is the scientific name, but yeah it's not that researched. You can find sources by googling (someone said Yandex is better for this) its cas number which is 20590-32-3, albeit not many. I think Peat said that even though it is technically a pufa, it has sfa-like properties. But i would take it exogenously it may behave differently.

@b_well_insomnia Sodium bicarb with acv in soda water. I think this would only work though if you could prevent the carbonic acid from escaping, so might wanna seal it in a bottle for a bit before you drink from it, and also make sure the bottle can withstand the pressure Nose breathing, restricted breathing in general Bag breathing, and Haidut had a modified suggestion a while back which was sticking a tiny hole at the bottom of one of those extra large water jugs and breathing through that, remembering to keep it upright the opposite way round to allow the co2 to build up when you aren't using it. Make sure to take relaxed breaths or it can make you very light headed and lower your blood pressure considerably to dangerous levels

I just use regular high wattage incandescent bulbs on clamp lamps that I attach to my bookshelf. I don't really think you need to have a red filter on the light, the red is already included in the whole spectrum. Also, @eugene your choice in lamp is a fire hazard. You should be using something similar to this. I linked a Walmart one because that's where you got your lamp but you can find these at almost any hardware store. Make sure you get one rated for at least the wattage of the bulb. Most modern lamps and fixtures aren't intended to be used with incandescent bulbs and the current draw can cause wires and fixtures to get very hot.
