@noodlecat59 for a lot of guys fapping/nsfw stuff is a way to cope with not having access to irl sex with a real woman given that these days it's becoming increasingly harder for many guys who are not very high in the looks and other stat percentile to find a girl that even notices them in first place and that doesn't see them as blending in the background with other guys/not existing in the first place so in some ways it's more so a result than the cause/issue itself, PMO that is as some guys even after months of being on dating apps or even being outside irl still don't find girls for whom they are enough to see them anything more than platonically as long as ur androgens/energy keeps producing and flowing it will inevitabely keep making your libido/sexual desire more pronounced so if u don't have any woman irl to indulge with in it you will end up edging, fapping or watching nsfw stuff to somewhat satiate that desire the nofap/semen retention rhetorians ignore the lookism aspect and other social elements of this and act as if anyone regardless of their other stats or social-sexual dynamics of the world will be able to get laid magically the moment they reach x day on nofap and that just stopping fapping/watching porn will somehow solve most of their problems

@BioEclectic Chris is pretty cool, I can't say I agree with everything he says, but I can't really say that about anyone so it's all good. The guy does relentless research, so I know he's never going into something half-cocked. You could save your eggshells and just use a coffee grinder on them, rather then spending money on calcium carbonate. It's essentially the same thing. Yeah that shit sucks about supermarket meats. Before I relocated I was getting most of my meats from a local source, but right now I'm not in contact with any good local guys to source product so I'm just keeping my meat consumption to a minimum. I usually eat meat and veggies with dinner, but for breakfast and lunch it's been oatbran with casein protein (also a good source of calcium) and coffee with milk. I cook my oatbran in apple juice too.

@Peatly said in Mild Vitamin A deficiency decreases DHEA and Pregnenolone by 40%: @Mauritio Thank you. I just found this quote from the mega master newsletter "Recently, the polyunsaturated oils have been identified as the main thing in cells that radiation interacts with, to cause cellular damage. Vitamin E, taken internally or even applied to the skin, has been found to reduce the damage produced by exposure to ultraviolet radiation, which is logical, since it interrupts the chain reactions of toxic free-radicals produced when unsaturated oils are oxidized by radiation or other injury. Aspirin has been found to have a similar effect in reducing the harmful effects which develop in the skin after sunlight overexposure. Coconut oil has been used for generations in “ suntan lotions, ” and whether it is absorbed through the skin or eaten as a food, it clearly has a protective antioxidant function. Carotene seems to work with vitamin E in the skin to reduce injury by ultraviolet radiation. Caffeine also has shown a protective action against radiation, but its mechanism of action isnʼt clearly understood." Townsend Letter for Doctors & Patients, June 1996, Page 83 – 85 Dr. Peat also said he stopped burning in the sun after supplementing vitamin D, getting lots of milk and limiting PUFA. Good one.

@hypercashoidism i don't recall reading anything except guesswork. In addition to coconut oil i've seen castor oil mentioned more than once. A person can do separate protocols of both oils, taking a short break when completed with one before they begin the other, that would be my advice anyway ..

Lathering the skin with D-panthenol (or dexpanthenol) may lead to local overconsumption of NAD+. Nutrient Metabolism: Structures, Functions, and Genes (978-0-12-387784-0) "CoA synthesis uses pantothenate, cysteine, one adenylate, three phosphates, and the energy of six high-energy phosphates from ATP (Figure 10.43). Significant amounts of pantothenate are generated from pantetheine through the action of pantetheine hydrolase (EC3.5.1.-), which is expressed in many tissues. Panthenol and panthenal may also be converted to a limited extent into pantothenate by alcohol dehydrogenase (EC1.1.1.1) and aldehyde dehydrogenase (EC1.2.1.3)." I believe it may be an estrogen problem for most of these people. All the papers by Mawson I've read seem to point towards an increase in retinoic acid at the particular diseased site, or a dis-regulation of retinoid signalling like in glioblastoma. From this Ray article it seems estrogen is responsible for triggering certain inflammatory immune response like the chitinase enzymes etc. I wouldn't be surprised if it did the same with retinoic acid needlessly at the site of inflammation. I think a lot of their benefits are as you say blunting the immune response but also I'd add a reduced endotoxin load. They all seem to do bad ("detox reactions") without any binders.

@Jakeandpace Yes, he did. "When dietary PUFA are not available, the body produces a small amount of unsaturated fatty acid (Mead acids), but these do not activate cell systems in the same way that plant-derived PUFAs do, and they are the precursors for an entirely different group of prostaglandins." article

Honestly this stuff is shocking to think about, antibiotics at an early age wouldn't be so bad if someone told you just to eat muddy vegetables to fix the microbiome after... Generations before us all took antibiotics. We have been left with a lot of catchup work...

@FTMarinetti they can lower it a lot like -30% -40% i think, and considering how often theyre thrown at people and with the perspective of "cholesterol = bad" would assume a lot of that group are kept on them to ensure its kept low and away from "high" cholesterol what they see as "healthier", eg in uk for a healthy person they see <200 as good and for an at risk person 150. ironically they see the cutoff point for dropping below good levels by that study as a ceiling level, inverse. i know someone who got prescribed statins with only a mild elevation and no heart problems then for the people that arent on more medications in that group indicated by the lower cholesterol, whatever other reason is causing their low cholesterol inducing poorer health (e.g cholesterol lowered in sepsis https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/3940695/) for the other side maybe cholesterol as a protective molecule makes up for some of the effects of lack of thyroid to a point? (e.g preventing cancer and death by infections) , but over that the thyroid / hormones might get too low regardless

@Nabokov I have always had very high cholesterol and also bad HDL to LDL ratios. Maybe this particular statin helps against arterial inflammation, which is really the cause of CVD? I have not taken any statins after my CBAG (bypass surgery) more than a couple decades ago. New studies show that very low does statins less than 5 mg per day help with arterial inflammation and I am thinking of taking them. Not Lipitor, but Crestor and Livalo. Perhaps Parastatin has the same affect.

Intestinal absorption of magnesium from food and supplements [image: 1712492538270-4b3d4066-b3e0-40d8-91b0-757165e74b2f-image.png] A suggestion when dealing with gut microbial imbalances: Supplemental Mg Meals with problematic ingredients Topical Typical everyday meals Oral 100 mg Meals with safe 'prebiotic' ingredients Oral >100 mg This is considering it a microbial growth factor that's worth restricting or exceeding in each extreme. The food content will add some more magnesium per meal and the total must not be too off from the efficient absorption range.
