I like it.
What does racoon milk taste like btw?
Dandruff or scalp irritation? Try BLOO.
Vitamin K and adequate vitamin D. Aspirin and pregnenolone together can raise testosterone.
Haidut posted studies showing antagonizing serotonin makes animals mega horny. The Lisuride+cyproheptadine can be pretty powerful.
Things that tend to ruin sex drive in my experience- hypothyroidism and gut issues,
@eatfan Yeah i think so. I got induced gyno from taking amitriptyline (some studies say it raises prolactin).
@Fructose said in Which antibiotics for gut issues and chronic fatigue?:
a liquid diet.
Yep, Ray's metabolic emergency diet of OJ and milk is a good option for people with gut disorders.
It's pretty drastic but people might need a multi pronged approach for stubborn gut stuff- diet as well as supplements.
@eatfan is it actual mammary tissue or fat cells? You can tell under ultrasound
If the antibiotics don't help:
-Big doses of pregnenolone (300mg+) can really help with intestinal problems. Here's a story from the 'other' forum:
"Been 2 years and I’m on low dose TRT since but still never felt right. Low body temps like 96.5 . Pain everywhere. My youth hormones plummeted also , but I didn’t know to check them until Ray. I played around w all 3 in average doses and nothing changed really. The past week I’ve supplemented 300mg pregnenolone daily and good lord.**
Every single blood marker improved dramatically. I’m now pooping 3 times a day. No more bloat. My TMJ and head pressure disappeared. Colors are brighter. Multiple ppl have commented on my skin. Temps are now at 98.6+ Even in morning. extreme blood sugar issues have stopped."
-topical vitamin D in a big dose can really relax a painful gut. Try it orally as well.
-the Lisuride+cyproheptadine combination
@eatfan anything that lowers prolactin. Search for gyno and prolactin in the research
A dude on the retard forum said his went away using progesterone.
@pilky it's caused by adrenaline. Either from a gut disorder or from hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism can cause gut problems too though.
What is your pulse and temperature?
@skywxlker said in Which antibiotics for gut issues and chronic fatigue?:
amox in higher doses.
Ray warned against that one. There was some correspondence between him and someone posted on the retard forum, he linked to a study where it caused liver failure in some people, I think it was older people though. Doxy and minocycline and penicillin VK are safer bets.
What are you all your symptoms? is it an IBS type of deal?
look on t3maxxi's twitter for photos of thyroid restoring hair

anything that combats fibrosis- lisuride etc

@anabology a big dose of t3 can stop a lot of bad things. I've gotten rid of extremely bad internal hemorrhoids using decent amounts of t3 for a few days. Worth it even though it causes fatigue.
Anybody got any links to Ray's comments on either Stalin or Lysenko? I don't have all of his newsletters.
@honest_skeptic said in Is Ray Peat Legit? My thoughts::
From what I've gathered, Ray Peat is probably not a legitimate scientist.
Well. Ray never even considered himself to be a scientist when asked about it. He said he regarded himself as a critic,
In general, if you wonder if someone making scientific claims is legit, you should look for a publication record
Not sure why you believe this. Publications in 'credible journals' don't guarantee anything.
Peer review only came into widespread use in the journals during the 1970's. It's a fake stamp of approval of so people don't have to critically assess or think about a paper when they are reading it.
Ray circumvented the cesspit that is the scientific culture because he wasn't particularly interested in trying to change it or gain their respect. He was appealing to everyone in the public who was open to it. He wanted a society where people knew how to fix their own problems rather than a society where the empty headed citizens submit to some medical/scientific elite who try and impress with their credentials and list of publications in supposedly prestigious science bibles.
You aren't assessing any of his ideas on their merits.

I can't remember the others, I'll post if I do. There's always Roddy as well, if you don't mind over the phone/internet.
There are a couple but I wouldn't bother with them. The problem with many of the Peat-inspired practitioners is that they are only using diet and maybe a few supplements that don't offend the authorities so much. Owing to the potential loss of their accreditation as licenses dieticians or fitness instructors (or simply because they have no experience with it) they can't help you with things like thyroid, if that's what you need.
You're better off learning how to rely on yourself, reading as much as you can at your own pace and asking questions from people who seem helpful.
Your choice though of course.
