@Mallard6146 Building a good body is, of course, a worthy goal.

RE: What is the most effective protocol for young men to looksmax?
@ThinPicking Re: "Revolutionary Potential"
It means the awakening of one's innate intelligence, which brings confidence and self-directed learning/exploration with it. Its one of the ends of what education should be rather than the docility training of mass schooling. All social movements depend upon re-education initiatives, like teach-ins, or like discussing bioenergetic views in opposition to big pharma sick care industry.

RE: No sex drive, Long refractory period and ED
@fucker I know you mentioned it already, but porn will do this. If you get erections from edging to porn but not a real woman, then you know its PIED. If you don't get erections from porn either, then it may also still be PIED. If you have no desire or interest altogether (asexual) then it could be a low dopamine problem, as you likely are lacking zest for living altogether.

RE: Why is the Ray Peat community so far right?
@noodlecat59 No worries, it's not my creation. I'm just longtime active writer there. It's been invite only for 5 years and now they decided to open it up a bit.

RE: What is the most effective protocol for young men to looksmax?
@Mallard6146 But to be fair, what's the typical purpose young men have in looksmaxxing? Its for sexual success, right? "Marginal improvement in appearance" is a much less important factor than overcoming autistic social behaviors.
Looksmaxx ideally should be at a minimal level of investment. If we can make young people more serious minded about things that matter, and give concrete help towards it, rather than have them become obsessive about their grooming and posture there would be more progress in bioenergetics.

RE: What is the most effective protocol for young men to looksmax?
@ThinPicking Young men are up against enormous problems and yet also have enormous 'revolutionary potential' when not atomized and made demoralized apathetic demotivated and worried about the wrong things like "looksmaxxing".

RE: What is the most effective protocol for young men to looksmax?
@Norwegian-Mugabe Live healthy with a relationship with nature and friends/family, but also you need a holistic understanding of how the world works and I mean transcending jaded cynicism and recovering some energy to work within and/or beyond the present systems. This kind of intellectual/spiritual vision is necessary so you don't get depressed from wage labour rate race earning a living and forget what life otherwise is outside of a tunnel vision stressed state reduced to a cog.

RE: What is the most effective protocol for young men to looksmax?
@Sugar Physical health is less of a risk at that age than mental/intellectual health. It's of utmost importance to learn 'how to think' and discover creative outlets. As well as overcome interpersonal/social issues that prevent them from sexual/professional success and fulfillment.

RE: Twitter / X
@Kilgore said in Twitter / X:
@Amazoniac lmk if you ever make one. You are a wealth of knowledge.
Agreed.
I've added all the accounts you mentioned.

RE: Nietzsche Discussion Thread
@Sugar Taking time to read (old hardcover editions of) his books would be more personally (and thus collectively) valuable than seeking out hot takes and quotes. Internet culture is anti-intellectual in this regard and kills peoples attention spans. People look for summaries and impressions rather than going on an intellectual walk with the author themselves through a patient reading of their own words.

RE: Anyone taking vitamin A orally?
@tea I've never taken any vitamin topically, except for some skincare products. But I don't doubt that topical has advantages. I've never felt that Vitamin A burned my mouth when taking it. It was the same as any other fat soluble.

RE: Do you drink coffee first thing in the morning?
@oliveoil Don't do it first thing. I wait ~3 hours after waking.

RE: How does Masturbarion effect metabolism?
@IceCreamGroyper If you're viewing pornography with it then you will encounter all of the brain degenerating effects described at the YBOP website.

RE: Caffeine adrenaline/histamine reaction?
@vocedilegno It also happens with iced coffee?

RE: New "Mission" of RPF
@zawisza I don't know about the Zoominfo connection. But the disinformation takeover at RPF serves to keep people plugged-in to schizophrenic America First nationalist conspiracy politics. Which is the default strategy of delegitimizing opposition to the oligarchic state as well as committing the most eccentric thinkers to rabbit holes where they are funneled into different layers of criminalized hate speech. That Ray Peat was not an American nationalist is the main reason for slandering his legacy. It has the added purpose of keeping people plugged-in to the acceptable kind of patriot for their health advice rather than to an anti-establishment maverick with Marxist sympathies.
