@sneedful I don't remember precisely what they said, but I believe they said they couldn't get me exact info about how it's manufactured. Maybe it's changed since then, or maybe the person I spoke to wasn't clear -- it was a few years ago.

RE: How to fix haemorrhoids/piles?
@samson fyi I had to quit Now foods gelatin, because I would keep getting hemorrhoid flareups from them. I believe I looked pretty far into their company and got no confirmation whether or not they used silica in their production. I've had no such issues with great lakes gelatin.
let us know if you ever bother and find anything different about them.
It's crazy tho, within days of quitting now brand I would feel better

RE: I need x-rays
@happyhanneke nice. Consider researching sodium thiosulfate and see if that can be added to the dmso for benefit. It’s one of the least spoken of supplements in the bioenergetic community for some reason, but Ray spoke about using. It is a powerful decalcifier.

@Mossy tea with sugar and milk was the only way I wouldn’t have problems with cascara sagrada

RE: How to fix haemorrhoids/piles?
@Mossy oh cool, thanks for that quote. It’s also good to know that it could irritate the gut.

@happyhanneke Danny Roddy recommends 5mg vit K for under a gram of aspirin, and 10mg vit K for 2-3 grams of aspirin. (Edit: I way under pitched the recommended doses by Danny)
Basically 5 grams vit K per 1 gram of aspirin sounds safest.
For you, that would mean 3 capsules for 3 grams of aspirin
I want to say Ray and Georgi talked about 15mg of vit K daily to replicate the antibacterial effect of tetracycline class antibiotics

@sneedful interesting, thanks for the share.

RE: How to fix haemorrhoids/piles?
@samson did you ever read anything negative about taking strait glycine?
I know Peat was generally anti isolated amino supplementation, but glycine has such powerful anti-inflammatory effects…

RE: How to fix haemorrhoids/piles?
When I have hemorrhoid, I use essential oils in mix with oil and organic silicium (G5)
Interesting

RE: How to fix haemorrhoids/piles?
I wouldn’t at all be surprised that anything is worse since Peating since everything has gotten worse every day for everyone (I jest partially).
With that said, unfortunately it seems like the ultimate answer is lowering mental stress.
Peaty answers of course would be experimenting with vit k, glycine, aspirin, progest-e, thyroid, and b vitamins like thiamine.

Have you persevered with carrot for a prolonged period time? At least a month?
Coconut oil (away from carrot) would at least clean any bacteria as far as the stomach.

@LucH I agree Mk7 better than K1, but apparently Mk7 functions like a surrogate of Mk4 -- it's sole reason that I recall for it's continued support is that it's half life is twice as long, but, that's likely because it's used half as effectively. Apparently K1 itself is converted to Mk4.
https://lowtoxinforum.com/threads/k2-mk4-or-mk7.13828/page-4Based on this, I believe it would be better to just continually consume more Mk4.

RE: Ray Peat name drop during American Communist Party convention speech
@Rah1woot well bro!.. I think the right and left dialectics have run their course, and it's time for communist and reactionary to hammer the horseshoe closed!
The indigenous and enduring version of hierarchy, is and will always be family. The he/him with bonkers aggro testosties will do the boink boink to the dummy thick birthing person, and then she will get preggo brained and he actually has to run their lives so they both stay alive and his in-laws don't beat him up = father and mother is the basis of all hierarchy. Father kills bear, woman nurtures babies -- even in the modern context, we see plain as day the utter chaos of genders deconstructing their sexed tasks in life. Sons who are effectively disciplined by the father learn his survival in whatever the world is today; girls vibe until a bro vibes them.
The families with the strongest cohesion become communal pillars of stability. They are most trusted to lead. These are preferentially selected by the community to become essentially "royalty." This is max stability. This is the type of aristocracy I was speaking of earlier. This is the origin of most chieftain societies, from Europe to Africa. This most natural social contract when evolved in antiquity, was consensual, in fact proto-democratic (why actual monarchs of history would often be more populist than supposed populist revolutions in consequence), but did not demand a hand in the decision making; the individual trusted who he placed over self, as that was his neighbor's father. The individual learned to respect positions earned in this manner. The individual organically learned how hierarchy benefited him.
This reality is cut as deep in the brain as the need for sex and food -- it can never be replaced. I hope communists can see that even they would need a leader in history past, to trust and follow when revolting...
The only thing that could screw up something this good and natural to humanity, is the forbidden fruit of democracy.

RE: Rapamycin: Anti-aging and metabolic dream drug?
@Mauritio I couldn't connect if I was having digestive issues connected to it's prolonged use or not. there were a lot of confounders at the time. I'll probably try it again next time I use it with some penicillin traveling el snail mail.

RE: I need x-rays
@DavidPS Great point DavidPS. I second this. One should be doing the things that will fix arthritis anyway, so knowing if what you've got is arthritis is a moot point.
If you google what a doctor will prescribe, it'd basically be painkillers/NSAID's, steroids, and DMARDs (supposedly stop progression of arthritis)...

RE: I need x-rays
@happyhanneke said in I need x-rays:
I am in touch with Danny so most of what I do has been discussed with him.
awesome
I never have cold hands or feet.
cool
I don't think I can take a lot of aspirin. I just take a tiny amount and I already get bleeding gums and if I accidentally get a small cut it bleeds like crazy. I take vit K too but it doesn't seem to make it better. The small amount is ok but if I take more I'm worried about the bleeding, even when I brush my teeth.
got it. I'd suggest trying to reverse a vitamin K deficiency, with just prolonged higher doses of vitamin K (K2MK4 is a must, idealabs is suggested). If you can't go higher dose on the aspirin, I'd consider getting a couple bottles and going reasonably high dose topical on the belly button, and orally.
Danny said how when he was reaching 3 g of aspirin, he was bleeding like crazy, and unbeknownst to him had likely induced a vit K deficiency, upped 5mg to 10mg vit K and that went away pretty quickly. Maybe you need more. keep up calcium and vit D and you're killin it.
All these nutrients will be important cofactors in the improvement of arthritis, anyway!
Yes I do hold a smart phone for an extended period of time. I'm as addicted as anybody else
same, but after I deleted a game I was seriously spending too much time on, my own arthritic pains have gone away. Also, I try to limit things on the phone, that I could do on a computer instead, that seems to gives less centralized radiation.
I don't think there's a way around this. I remember Ray commenting how he'd be emailing people back and forth about their problems for years, and then find out they are on their smart phone all the time. Note: radiation mitigating devices has not worked for me (still keep them on my phone)
