You're essentially mixing the salad as you chew, no need to waste time shredding the carrot in a fancy way.
I'm glad that I'm not the only one. I see tons of comments of somebody taking X or eating more of Y and feeling a drastic change, whether it be positive or negative. I've changed my diet many times and I've always felt pretty much the same. The only thing that instantly makes me feel better is orange juice and sunlight.
First of all, I want to thank you for sharing this recipe. This was my first time making bone broth, so I'm open to feedback and suggestions.
It cost me approximately 11€ for 4 L of super gelatinous broth. Here's how I made it, step by step:

Here are my thoughts on the recipe and my results:
But overall, I'm happy with the result, it tastes delicious, and my family loves it.
@ShiftGear The egg membrane is just collagen. I personally don't remove it. It doesn't affect the flavor or anything in my experience.
I boil them, dry them in the oven, and blend them into fine dust. I no longer add eggshell powder into my food ever since I started eating more dairy and bone broth, which are rich in calcium.
I do not have a constant inner monologue. Sure, I can "talk" to myself and generate sounds in my brain , but I don't spend the majority of my time having a conversation with myself. I can understand my abstract thoughts without needing to translate them into words and sentences. The only time I use my inner voice is when praying and in moments of deep thought or problem solving.
I'd love to hear your perspective, how would you describe what it's like to have an inner monologue? Do you have a voice that narrates what you're thinking?
A relative of mine partially crushed his L1 spine in an accident but he can still walk. Thank God, his doctor said he can expect a full recovery in a few months, but considering it's a spine injury, I can't help but be cautious.
Any tips or suggestions to maximize recovery? I thought about bone broth, K2 and sun maxxing. I would love to hear strategies or recovery stories from the wise people in this forum.
@bengobeil said in Grounding is the single greatest “biohack” I’ve ever found:
While testing with a multimeter, I discovered the the wire that came with the mat wasn't conducting anymore!
Why do you think this happened? Is is the bad quality of the mat you purchased, or something else?
Find a supermarket where they offer fresh orange juice using a machine like this one
After reading this post, I started researching on eye-friendly displays. It's a really unexplored and niche field at the moment, with a huge potential for growth imo. Most of what you can find today is only made by a couple of manufacturers, and the products are really expensive compared to regular monitors.
We have basically two options: E-Ink displays and RLCD displays. Both have no backlight (therefore no blue light), and no flicker.
E-ink displays contain literal pigments that are arranged electronically, as opposed to a traditional display which is a light panel that shines through a filter of RGB colors that penetrate your eyes. RLCD (reflective LCD) displays are like normal displays but they don't contain a backlight, instead, they rely on the ambient light which bounces on the screen and back to you.
So the main difference between the two boils down to:
Here are video reviews of the two best monitors of each kind right now:
Dasung Paperlike Color 25.3" for $1650
SVD RLCD 32" for $1500
For YouTube, I use the "Distraction Free Youtube" plugin on Firefox, it hides all the junk and focuses the UI on what you are viewing or searching. Good to avoid procrastination.
That e-ink monitor looks awesome. Now that you've mentioned refresh rate, I wonder if there's any difference between low and high refresh rate monitors in terms of their impact on your eyes. Would a sufficiently high refresh rate be benign or potentially more detrimental to your eyes?
I eat less pork because pig feed is easier to tamper with. There was a case in the US where they cut pig feed with recycled garbage.
@CO3 Very interesting recipe. I'm a bit confused however, in your recipe, you cook the bones for 2 hours due to histamine and heavy metal release (as opposed to the typical 10+ hours bone broth methods). Wouldn't a pressure cooker be more optimal then? Are histamine and heavy metal release primarily due to cooking time, high temperatures, or both? You also mentioned that good food takes time to make, but your recipe is faster than usual. I'll try your recipe with a pressure cooker and update with a photo here.
Any drawbacks to using a pressure cooker to quickly cook bone broth?
This might sound weird.
I always save for last the parts of the steak that take ages to chew. Today I was chewing on a ball of gristle for one hour, works out my jaws more than gum, and my teeth feel really clean at the end.
It's a good alternative to mastic gum.
