What kind of fixtures are you putting the bulbs in? You might be heating them up too much.

RE: Reliable Vitamin D sup
I like the Premier Research Vit D in olive oil, which is available in the states.

RE: Chronic tinnitus?
I have had tinnitus since I was a child and taking thyroid has helped to relieve it. Sometimes it's entirely gone and sometimes I still hear it at night.

RE: How do you make eggs taste good?
Try finding some better eggs if you can. I just eat mine plain with some salt and they taste pretty good. Sometimes I'll make an omelet with pecorino romano cheese.

RE: What are non-Peaty things you still do?
Adding you all to my fake peaters list.

RE: Eczema Cures?
I have also used progest-e on eczema and it cleared it up pretty quickly. Apply a little olive oil to the area first to help dissolve the progest-e, otherwise it's going to wind up being a sticky mess.

RE: Ice cream maker.
@CO3 Yeah, it's nice being able to make really high quality ice cream in under an hour and trying different recipes is fun. Quickly leads you to having a few gallons in your fridge at any time.

RE: Most effective way to learn a new language?
Avoid language learning apps like the plague. Pimsleur tapes are fine imo and you might be able to find them or similar materials at your local library. Run those and then take a speaking course online or in person to get you to around A2 or B1 level. Once you have a decent grasp on grammar and some vocab, just watch or read media in the language and make flashcards out of new words, ideally while continuing classes or speaking to a native speaker.

RE: NDT Dose Frequency
I think NDT is too inconsistent to follow any valuable dosing schedule. I had used the LGS powder for quite a while to varying degrees of success. It felt like some batches and dosages(which I always weighed, never just used the scoop) would be very strong and other times I would go through a few grams and felt like it was just dry powder. I think measured and synthetic is probably a better way to pursue thyroid supplementation.

RE: Ice cream maker.
I also have an ice cream maker with a compressor and it's a total game changer. My favorite recipe so far is coffee ice cream, either by adding brewed coffee or instant to the mixture. Sometimes I add in chocolate chips if I have them.

RE: Thyroid Therapy for Chronic Digestive Issues
+1 to CO3's posts. Keep an eye on your total cholesterol levels while you experiment and based on my own experiences I would skip using any NDT powdered products, if you were considering them. Best of luck.

RE: Shampoo/conditioner/hair care
I've tried nearly everything and for me the only thing I really liked is the North American Herb and Spice shampoo and conditioner. Bar shampoos and conditioners leave my hair a weird texture, same with using baking soda.

RE: Desiccated/freeze dried thyroid gland experiences
I have almost 0 faith in NDT powder products. Manufacturers are unwilling to test or disclose hormone content and based on personal experience with weighing each dose, what you get varies so much dose to dose and batch to batch. It makes it hard to actually dial in a dosage or measure the effectiveness.

RE: Dental X Rays
While x-rays are bad, it's tough to completely avoid them your entire life. You must also weigh the potential consequences of total denial. I decline "routine" x-rays but willing to make an exception for an acute problem if I think it isn't diagnosable without one. I would rather take an x-ray than lose a tooth, for example. Haidut had made a write up about minimizing x-ray damage, though I can't find it off-hand. I believe it was aspirin, niacinamide, and then using red light on the area the x-ray was used.
Are you confident in the competency of your dentist? Might also be worthwhile to attempt to find one that aligns more with your view of minimizing x-rays and willing to try to treat without any.

RE: Need tips on taming a dog
@zoro If he starts biting, try to get him to grab onto a toy instead. Puppies often will be nippy until they're a year or two old, so just try to encourage him to divert the attention to a toy instead and it should work out over time. Jumping can be tough to break but try turning around and ignoring him while jumping. The biggest thing is to try to give the dog enough exercise and engagement that they can level out a little bit. If he's crate trained or crate training, it can be good to give him a walk and some play for 2 hours or so and then have him nap in the crate for 2 hours and do this on and off with whatever time frames work.

RE: Weird Feeling in my Elbows when doing these lifts
Had something similar when I started lifting as well. It seemed to only happen when I did dips, so I stopped dipping for a while. Once I got a bit stronger, it went away. I'd just avoid exercises that cause it for a while or vary the weight/rep ranges so it doesn't happen, then revisit the exercises in a month or two.

RE: Need tips on taming a dog
Teach him some new tricks, go on some walks, and be consistent with what you expect from him with regard to behaviors. They are working dogs so they have a lot of need for both exercise and work. They will pick up quickly on new behaviors so long as their need for exercise is being met and you are communicating consistently, which means praise and a reward for doing what you want and none otherwise.

RE: Red Light Desk Setup
I just use regular high wattage incandescent bulbs on clamp lamps that I attach to my bookshelf. I don't really think you need to have a red filter on the light, the red is already included in the whole spectrum.
Also, @eugene your choice in lamp is a fire hazard. You should be using something similar to this. I linked a Walmart one because that's where you got your lamp but you can find these at almost any hardware store. Make sure you get one rated for at least the wattage of the bulb. Most modern lamps and fixtures aren't intended to be used with incandescent bulbs and the current draw can cause wires and fixtures to get very hot.

RE: Harmful additives?
Not sure about EU rules but in US, additives like silicon dioxide can be present in food as a "processing agent" and unlabeled in the ingredients. I imagine there are a lot of sneaky additives like this in packaged foods.
