I think he rarely said he spoke either, but he was pretty humble about it generally so we can only deduce from context. He said he felt way more fluent in Spanish when at high altitude. It's reasonable to assume his Spanish was quite good. Especially considering the opportunities available to him to speak it, the fact that the culture is very open to learners, and the general fact that it's not that hard to learn.

With regards to Russian, I don't think he outright ever said he spoke it, and said when he spoke to a Soviet researcher they were sort of mixing languages - indicating he was definitely not fluent. It's reasonable to assume he could understand a decent part of it written down.
