RE: Never feel satiated
@BioEclectic I love my pressure cooker. I try to make stew based meals with gelatinous cuts when possible, but I save the bigger meals for dinner to keep energy up throughout the day. I find fruit and coffee gives me the most energy

RE: Never feel satiated
@wzuo Yup I try to get outside as much as possible and do some exercises which is a great perk of being WFH. I tend to just eat fruit and dairy until dinner where I'll have a meat and starch based meal then I'm ready for bed.

RE: Never feel satiated
@Shar_to_the_dae I do feel satiated with these type of cuts and stews. Although how often do you consume these because they can get quite expensive?

Never feel satiated
Hello everyone, the Ray peat protocols are great because they give me steady energy throughout the day and a happy mood which I struggled with before finding these methods. But one things is that I never feel satiated unless a meal has starch or meat protein. It's honestly something I'm okay with because I would rather have high energy levels throughout the day. Maybe the two are just inversely correlated and satiation naturally decreases energy levels. Or just years of stuffing myself with pasta and meat based meals has led me to a distorted view of "satiated". Just wondering what your guys experience with feeling of satiation and the ray peat style diet.

Cypro messed up my vision
Hello everyone, so I got idealabs cypro and started with 0.5mg in the evening and built up to 2 mg. One night I was in bed then turned on a bright light in my room and my eyes hurt and have had blurry vision ever since then. I know Cypro is an anticholingeric so it could have messed with the pupil constriction mechanism which is dependent on acetylcholine. Anyone had any problems with their vision while taking cypro?

RE: Personal Log - Digestion, energy, vitality
@Jakeandpace Same here, sprinting does something magical to the body.

@GreekDemiGod What does your diet look like? Are your pulse and temp going up? Digestion and motility are highly dependent on thyroid function

RE: Posterior Pelvic Tilt and Bioenergetics
The two have a bidirectional relationship although in my experience fixing the gut and metabolism will have a larger impact and allow your nervous system to regulate which will in turn allow proper breathing, diaphragm mechanics, relaxation and therefore posture. Posture shouldn't be something you have to think about nor should energy metabolism.

RE: CHEWING the most bioenergetic practice
I concur, chewing properly and swishing liquids around my mouth has helped my digestion immensely and may be the biggest needle mover I have experienced. Using your tongue to smash the food against your palate slowly and observing the texture of the food. Stop using your teeth and jaw to chew unless chewing very collagenous or tough meat. Just the mere sensation of having food/drink in your mouth gives your body the sense of nourishment and allows your system to relax. Imagine the effect this has on your nervous system and stress hormones. Don't be in a rush to eat that is symptom of being prey or stress (think squirrels/birds). Be a lion, who takes his time with his meal not worried about anything else in the world.

RE: Weed addiction, reaching homeostasis
Find dopaminergic activities that you enjoy or go to the gym and exert yourself. Most times I was smoking weed I was straight up just bored or didn't have any goals set that I was trying to amount to. Weed is also serotonigenic so I would def recommend staying away.

RE: Lost the spark of life
Need some more context. Any other physical symptoms? Are you participating in activities that you enjoy?

RE: Milk/protein digestion
@Kvirion thinking this is the way... how strict are you on PUFAs?

RE: Milk/protein digestion
@SummerPeach hmmm interesting... maybe I'll try that out

RE: Milk/protein digestion
@wrl Thanks! I have tried it warm and it seemed to help a bit
-
RE: Figuring out digestive issues
Try lowering protein intake from meat and eggs (will help lower serotonin and estrogen if meat quality is poor)
-
RE: Testosterone
Prioritize metabolism
Eat sufficient calories with high nutrient dense foods
Do high T behavior (lift weights, run businesses, fuck chicks)
