@AltarandThrone it makes sense. I agree in theory that it should work/help! I’ll give it a go and see if there’s anything to share.

RE: Eczema Cures?
@CatlikeLantern my eczema was really inflamed such that anything I put on it flared it more. However, I think I experienced Topical Steroid Withdrawal (TSW) so would recommend avoiding the cortisone cream as it can lead down a terrible path if you don’t figure out the underlying issue.
This lead me down the path of doing NMT (no moisture treatment) where one leaves the eczema alone (no creams etc) to help the adrenals recover from the excessive exogenous cortisone.
The progesterone/ thyroid should help with inflammation at least. However, there is a concern that if the eczema is from a nutrient deficiency (like vitamin b6 or zinc/copper) - rather than environmental irritation- then this isn’t resolving the cause. Especially around pregnancy, nutrition requirements are highly elevated (especially if one is exclusively breastfeeding) which exacerbates this.
I just started using a tallow with zinc oxide in it which has helped a lot with itch and local inflammation.

RE: What are non-Peaty things you still do?
I displace weights in an eccentric fashion at the gym.

RE: Airport Security Radiation Mitigation
@buckminster My wife and I ask for pat down every time (not USA). My experience is if you’re happy and confident - as well as understanding that it’s an inconvenience - then it goes by fine.
Obviously you can get a moody person but if you remind yourself that it’s your right and that you’re not responsible for their emotions you should be fine!

@Kvirion - very important consideration!

RE: The Dental Care Thread
Does anyone here use blotting toothbrushes?
These with a number of the above suggestions have been helpful for me.

@angel do you know further details on why etc.? I’m assuming too close to the regulatory line.

RE: Ray Peat's Age Of Death
For Peats age cohort, the life expectancy is 60ish (at birth). Peat lived to just shy of 90 years. This means he outlived the expectations by just under 50% or more than two decades.
It may not be the best metric to use, but based on the data Haidut shared his statement doesn’t seem to imply he’s “retarded” (well to a rational person I guess).
I think Haidut’s statement may have been misconstrued. although I don’t think he used actuarial terminology completely accurately in the RPF - having said this and no hate to you - your understanding of average age at death vs outliving the average person in a cohort vs life expectancy seems limited - judging from your questions in this thread. It might be helpful to not judge him on something that you don’t comprehend.

RE: Grounding is the single greatest “biohack” I’ve ever found
@Sunniva In Nick Pineault’s book he mentions the concern of dirty electricity. This can be minimised/neutralised with a green wave device (as Danny has shared on his telegram).
Additionally, Nick says that if you are grounding inside you would need to have a break switch turned off as there are EMFs from the wiring in the wall which you will become an antenna for.
Anyone gone into further details on this? I’m keen to ground inside (as there’s snow everywhere currently where I live) but don’t want to do more harm.

RE: Best peaty pre-workout?
@PissBoy also Beta-alanine (maybe not entirely Peaty). However, I’m not sure that’s as popular these days in the mainstream supps.

RE: Best peaty pre-workout?
@PissBoy I’ve liked bicarb beforehand with a coffee & OJ/coke (sometimes add MB too).
During, coke or red bull has worked well for me.

Eczema issues
Any chronic eczema suffers? Please share your experience as well as what has helped or aggravated the situation.
I recently moved to a much colder, drier city with hard water so my already dry skin took a few more knocks. However, this is better with humidifiers and a water softer/filter.
However, my skin is very itchy and inflamed. I’m constantly fidgeting and in pain or at least discomfort. Recently I think I suffered from TSW (topical steroid withdrawal) and that’s when I decided to cold turkey the cortisone as I clearly have an underlying issue that’s not resolving.
I’m trying NMT (No Moisture Treatment) loosely and think it’s helping but it’s tough!
Diet wise I think spicer spices don’t do me good and store bought OJ I think is an issue (as it has been in the past).
Currently using thyroid daily. When needed, progesterone/DHEA, cyproheptadine, aspirin, b vits, magnesium.
