@insufferable
people will not accept anything in a book either. You cannot convince someone of something they have convinced themselves to believe.
I know because I was one of the worst of them.

RE: Any help with vaginismus?
@TurkishPeater
Have you talked with her about it? Or are you worried that she might actually not be aroused?
I'm pretty sure this is not a physiological problem unless she's in menopause. -
RE: HOMESTEADING GENERAL
@Hugh
Lots of stuff. They quickly get bloat which they can die from. They are very susceptible for parasites so they need to dewormed a lot. Of course it depends on the breed. There's more hardy breeds like kiko goats. Either way if you go to goat groups, they always complain about goats sometimes falling over dead and they don't even know why.
I don't have goats currently because our shelter is not sufficient and we have lots of cougars and wolves. But I do want to try to have a few for milk. I might try icelandic goats or some other more hardy breed. They also stink, it's no joke. -
RE: HOMESTEADING GENERAL
@Hugh
I'm in WA state US. If you do, think really hard where you are going to do this. Most of the time you have to feed for instance a cow quite a bit extra. Hay and other animal feed is extremely expensive right now. So much so that keeping cows is not in any way profitable for us anymore.
A goat or 2 is different. They eat all kinds of shrubbery. But then they are very prone to sickness.
One cow will still eat a lot.
But if you do it just for health and money is no issue then it's the way to go. There's much enjoyment in enjoying fruitage from your own hard work. -
Suggestions for Vit K with Aspirin
I'm taking aspirin now for about a month. I'm not taking that much at all. About the amount of 2-3 baby aspirins. I just use a powder from healthnatura that came with a baby aspirin scoop. I take about 2.
Yesterday I accidentally cut myself and it just kept on bleeding. Today it's bleeding again. Maybe I just hit a bad spot, but it made me think.
Is it recommended to take Vitamin K with aspirin. If so what source and what kind of vitamin K?
Links to articles would be appreciated too.Thank you.

RE: Most effective way to learn a new language?
You just have to go to a french speaking country and not be afraid to speak it.
The problem if you're a native English speaker is that people in other countries usually speak at least some English and love to practice is it on you.
I'm Dutch and old, so when I was young I had to speak, German, English and French if I went abroad. I can still get by in these languages even though I never deeply studied it.
Go speak it and pretend you don't speak any English.
France is not the only country where they speak French. Maybe Ivory Coast is a fun place to go IDK. I would prefer France -
RE: Methylene Blue
I have the mb from Idealabs called oxidal. I only take one drop every other day.
I hear you shouldnt take it with coffee. Yet there's caffeine in the bottle.
How does that work? I have put it in my coffee so I'm wondering if I shouldnt -
RE: Anyone eating bread?
I make my own long fermented sourdough bread from a wild yeast starter. I ferment it for at least 24 hours, often longer. The bread is a nice crusty delicious bread that I can eat. Not a lot though. I usually have a slice once or twice a week.

RE: Solutions to excessive smartphone usage
@CO3 I'm sorry. Just joking. I'm in the US now but now how annoying it is if Americans assume the whole world is on their schedule.

RE: Solutions to excessive smartphone usage
@CO3
Is it compatible with different providers when unlocked or even possible to unlock? I'm with Cricket that uses the AT&T network. I don't really want to change carriers since I live rural and it works very well here. Other carriers have bad coverage here. -
RE: Solutions to excessive smartphone usage
I'm interested in this.
Does it take pictures? -

I'm doing something similar. How much baking soda do you put in? Of course depending on how much you make? -
My colitis is returning since taking progesterone
I'm trying to make this as concise as possible.
I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis at 39 in the early 2000's. I kept it under control with diet that works for me and asacol suppositories.When I went through menopause I noticed that my colitis basically disappeared and after being completely done with menopause I had no more evidence of colitis on my colonoscopy either.
In the meantime I also started eating more in the way Ray Peat suggests. I really like it and a lot seems to be the food I grew up with.
Since I did gain some belly fat during menopause I started using some hormones. I take 1 or 2 drops of pansterone (from idealabs) and 2 drops of progest-e twice a day. I only started about 10 days ago.
Now I have symptoms of colitis again. Not bad but I can feel it. Some mucus and gas. I did not change anything in my diet.
Is ulcerative colitis related to hormones? I've never read about that neither did any of my gastro docs mention it. Is there any other reason why this could happen.
I feel very good and healthy for the rest. I sleep well, walk and laugh a lot. I'm definitely not stressed.
Any thoughts? Thank you!

Vegans and carnivores become the same way. It's what happens if you don't balance yourself out with normal people.

RE: Temp after breakfast lower than upon waking
@secondkelping Thanks. I am going to record for a few weeks before drawing any conclusions. This morning my temp was 98 after breakfast so very different. But I ate the same.
I am good with potatoes. I love them too. -
RE: Temp after breakfast lower than upon waking
@Kinesyne Thank you. Good advice. Plus I'm going to do this for a while and record it before making any conclusions. My heart rate is between 70-80 during the day.
I use plenty of salt! I buy Redmond kosher salt. -
RE: Temp after breakfast lower than upon waking
2 eggs from my own chickens who free range, a small potato, fat free greek yogurt with honey.
I had orange juice about 30 minutes before that. -
RE: Temp after breakfast lower than upon waking
@risingfire
I have not measured that. I just started checking it. It's not lower everyday. Just some days.
I actually feel very good and am healthy so I don't want to be alarmed! -
Temp after breakfast lower than upon waking
My waking temp under the tongue is 97.4. But after breakfast it's often almost 2 degrees lower. I don't think that is good. I haven't done a reading during the day yet since I always forget.
Any comments are appreciated. Or a link to a good article.
I know I read it's not good but then to find the same article is difficult.Thanks
