This really bugs me about the whole Peatosphere. There's no questioning allowed. If you point out errors or inaccuracies, people sperg the fuck out.

RE: Glysophate replaces glycine in tissue
@Serotoninskeptic @mexican_coke_fan
I went through a 1.5 lb collagen powder tub from Costco a while back. I would just heat it up in some chicken broth. I think it helped a lot with healing from an injury I had.
This time I'll probably just go with a gelatin powder that's used for cooking, they're way cheaper on Amazon for a 1.5 to 2.0 lb tub. The collagen supplement prices are way jacked up. And I'll probably grab some glycine powder from Bulk Supplements as well, have used them a few times for various supps.

RE: Glysophate replaces glycine in tissue
@Serotoninskeptic So we need to be supplementing glycine, either in powder form or even better, from cooking collagen rich cuts of meat and bones into soups and broths to get that gelatin rich broth.
Also start avoiding commercial produce as much as possible, buy from farmers markets, buy organic, or grow it yourself. Homegrown veggies ftw.

RE: CoQ10 Experiences
I am gonna try Ubiquinol/CoQ10 soon for hair regrowth
Pretty crazy testimonial about it here:Also would be nice for it's heart/cardiovascular health benefits, especially since there's some theories that balding is related to poor heart health.

RE: New "Mission" of RPF
@Jennifer I respect it, if you know people are being helped by your posts there still, that's good. I think people will naturally find their ways to the replacement forums that were created though, there's three or so with potential including this one. I searched around after the "low toxin A" incident, and quickly found this place.

RE: New "Mission" of RPF
Well said. I always say, there's nothing of value on any of these social media sites except for the users. No one cares about the code structure that makes up Youtube, for example. Take Youtube's content and put it on any other video platform, and Youtube dies. The users are the value. They post the content, they bring the ideas. Which is exactly why people should take their content with them when they leave RPF for example, and don't allow greedy assholes to gain monetarily from continuing to have access to it.

RE: The raypeatforum.com no longer exists. It's now the LowToxinForum.com. Mrs. Peat defends Ray's legacy
@yerrag You should take your content off the site and post it here.

RE: New "Mission" of RPF
Yeah, just a domain switch.
Would be good if all the "famous" posters from over there that contributed a lot took their content down, admin doesn't own it, and judging by the "Low toxin" nonsense, he doesn't want it either.
Users own their content, he doesn't have any rights to it.

RE: Milk fat
If you pasteurize raw milk, you're retarded. "Raw milk is dangerous" is a lie, an overblown hysteria that has done untold damage to humanity. Raw milk was never a problem in history until a Rothschild decided it needed to be banned. How many hundreds of millions consumed it before then with no issue?
Now all the programmable NPCs think it will kill you instantly if you consume it. Yes, the thing that human and animal newborns drink, is somehow the most toxic poison on the planet. LIE. Manufactured fear to prevent humans from consuming one of the healthiest things in the world.
In reality it's completely safe to consume if you're not the top 0.01% most unhealthy, obese, immune compromised person on the planet.
How many people do they even claim it killed or made sick? I've seen that it was some insanely low number like 200 people when they decided to ban it.
Meanwhile, tons of "raw" produce like lettuce and spinach also make people ill, but those will never be banned, because they're practically devoid of nutrients, and it's the slop that globalists want you to eat when they try to ban meat.

RE: New "Mission" of RPF
@Butter-Girl "Ironically" a few days after he changed it she contacted him
What timing. He DEFINITELY knew it was coming and took pre-emptive action, he's scared of a lawsuit lol.
What a goober. Imagine paying to post on that forum.
RPF is officially dead.

RE: Vitamin A and D deficiency increases liver cancer
@Mauritio Especially sinister when they say they're doing God's work. Yes, it's anti-human, anti-nature, and anti-God. Satanic is the perfect description.
If they truly believed this world was made for us, they wouldn't think that 95% of food and vitamins are toxic to us. From the perspective that we're created by a benevolent God, the logical view should be that the way nature as god made it is what's best for us.
Their perspective basically paints God as either incompetent or evil in that everything is bad for us, and sets themselves up as the saviors/gods by discovering that things like MILK, as good and nutritious for you as it is, that BABIES are fed and REQUIRE to survive, is going to kill you.
They're insane.

RE: Calorie deficit but gaining fat?
@revenant said in Calorie deficit but gaining fat?:
There has to be a way to eat 2500 kcal per day and not gain weight, since some people clearly manage to eat that much (and much more in fact).
Yeah, it's called have a high activity level that increases your TDEE. Work out 1-2 hour a day, and/or have a job with high activity level.
This is all super basic stuff that every entry level gym bro learns....
Why is this such a mystery to "Peaters"?
-
RE: Calorie deficit but gaining fat?
@revenant said in Calorie deficit but gaining fat?:
It's a fact only because it cannot ever be proven wrong; because it's a tautology.
lol....my god. It's been proven correct through testing it by millions and millions of people.
@revenant said in Calorie deficit but gaining fat?:
What is INTERESTING however, is why one person of the same size and activity level can eat 2000 kcal and lose weight and another one will gain weight. How do you explain that with CICO?
That's not a thing. The variation between the two will be very small. What does cause major differences is one person vastly over-estimating, or vastly under-estimating how much they're eating, which happens A LOT.
-
RE: Calorie deficit but gaining fat?
It has nothing to do with "reddit scientists", weak ad hom.
People lie to themselves about the calories they're consuming all the time, by grossly underestimating how much they're consuming, and not tracking ingredients properly. Sometimes its a mental thing, your body perhaps wanting those calories so you unconciously fudge the numbers.
Calorie surplus makes you gain weight, calorie deficit makes you lose weight. It's very simple, and thoroughly and proven. It's a FACT.
You have to figure out what your TDEE is for your body composition, activity level, BMR, etc. The easiest way is to keep lowering calorie intake until you start losing weight consistently, and you really have to weigh yourself every day and track things accurately.
You can believe all you want that overactive/underactive thyroid magically makes it so you can consume 9k calories without gaining weight, or consume 100 calories a day and still gain weight, but its simply not true. Does it have some effect? Yes. Is it that massive of an effect? No. Bodybuilding community has gone through all of this for many years.
-
RE: Calorie deficit but gaining fat?
@revenant If you're gaining weight, you're not really in a caloric deficit. Very simple.
You are lying about the amount of calories you're eating.
Track them accurately.

RE: How you discovered Peat?
The moment Ray Peat firmly took hold in my conciousness was on 4chan. I had heard his name here and there for a long time I guess, I just never looked into him. I saw someone post in a thread, probably a prepper thread in 2017/2018, about fish oil being bad, and he cited Ray Peat. I thought it was retarded and thought this Ray Peat guy must be an idiot, because fish oil is GREAT for you, but I was just coping because at the time I was taking fish oil and all the other bodybuilding bro supplements to max gains and didn't want to admit I was taking something that might be bad for me.

RE: What to do as a giga fatty?
Thyroid/metabolism doesn't change things nearly as much as people think as far as calories burned...Sorry, don't care what Ray said about it. There's a difference, but it's small. Bodybuilding community has irrefutably proved this. This is why so many Peaters are getting fat. They believed everything that was said about magically consuming 9000 calories and not gaining weight. Sorry, but you need to throw that out, because it was grossly exaggerated.
Everyone has different body composition (muscle and fat), activity levels, height, etc, This is why you calculate a TDEE, and then TEST it. Work out and diet for 2 weeks. Weigh yourself EVERY day. If your weight doesn't go down, adjust calorie intake a bit, test again. If your TDEE calculation was WAY off, you lied when inputting info.
Obese people are not incapable of losing weight because of thyroid function. That's a myth and an excuse they have latched onto, probably given to them by retarded doctors. They ABSOLUTELY can lose weight, they're just lazy and won't stop eating. Everyone can lose weight. There's not a single human on earth who is incapable of losing weight. Point one out to me.
This is an easily testable thing, you can confirm for yourself within a week or two (more time is usually better)
If you haven't done this, or deny that it works, you're either fat or already skinny and never needed to. Simple as.
-
RE: What to do as a giga fatty?
@yerrag You've discarded something that's easily testable? And has been done by billions of people? lol, ok.

RE: How much butter do you put in potatoes?
@Cezar4911
A couple sticks of butter.
