It sounds cliche but I think ancient Greece and Italian Renaissance sculptures best encapsulate the ideal physique for most men. Minus sone outliers that still look insanely aesthetic like Arnold or Cbum, but unless thats your job profession it looks over done. You're right that many fitness models don't over do it and have tremendous physiques, but despite all that testoterone they still often look less manly than even our grandparents generation. Alain delon has the physique of a child, a "pretty boy" esque face yet still had a more "masculine" presence than any modern influencer, at least imo. It leads me to believe that Testosterone is not as important as the general online sphere makes it seem.

@Sugar I agree with your solution. If you ever met people that take steroids they more often than not have a mountain of other problems. From sleep issues, anxiety, brain fog and mostly being unbearable to be around. Not to mention destroyed collagen making them look pretty gross. Many people on here supplement DHT and report mostly good benefits compared to other steroids more popular amongst bodybuilders. Pregnenolone, good thyroid function, and androsterone or pure DHT is probably a much better solution.

Ray has said that like 99% of Prenenolone on the market is contaminated and will end up causing more harm than good. Many people report negative side effects with the Acetate form It's probably better to not take Pregnenolone at all if it's your only option.

@lulueatsmeat Ray Peat only recommends Cynoplus and Cynomel because the doses were accurate to the label in comparison to NDT where the actual t3 and t4 can be more or less than what is stated. Some people find MCT oil to be irritating but I think it's better for transdermal use. Parsley is also a very good source of food source vitamin k which can be cheaper than the supplement.

You can try taking t3 by itself and if it helps transition to a t3+t4 combo like cynoplus. Also the standard Peaty things like increasing Calcium, Vitamin d, Vitamin k, Aspirin dissolved in water with baking soda. cyproheptadine is very good for nuking cotisol and helping sleep which goes a long way when your unwell. Danny Roddys Demestrying Thyroid Supplementation is a good article to learn about supplementing Thyroid and should help you out.

I don't think it could lead to long-term desensitization. Agonizing a dopamine receptor shouldn't be any different from agonizing a serotonin or androgen receptor. The biggest problem is the effects might not be as pronounced with continuous use, so you may need to cycle to continue feeling its effects. With Lisuride as well, I heard it's very potent and the effect is very noticeable, but it only lasts a little while in comparison to something like bromocriptine.

For people that have tried products in both is there one you preferred over the other? Ethanol supposably being better takin topically, Olive being easer on the liver.

@RFC32 I'm still in the experimental phase myself but found amazing results with cyproheptadine for eliminating serotonin. Be careful with the dosage because you'll probably feel like a walking corpse for the first few times you use it, but the rebound effect and sleep aid effects are amazing. If you don't mind me asking what hormone would you say had the biggest effect and you're planning on taking indefinitely? I've been eyeing Pansterone for a little bit now as well.

Pregnenolone vs Pansterone
I've been eyeing both of these from idealabs for a while now. Pansterone seems to be Preg with some added DHEA. Does anyone have experience with these both and prefer one from the other? I know some people get anxiety from Pansterone but I also hear some good things. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Viewing lots of sunlight, being outdoors, grounding yourselves. I would assume if you can't avoid emfs the next best thing is to ground as much as possible. Walking bearfoot on grass , touching trees, copper wire etc.

@Lothric This is a great response and I would love to read a full thread on it.
I agree with your initial paragraphs that fixing metabolism gives you the energy to engage with your environment thereby improving it by making it less stressful and even better, mold it to fit you. I made this thread because I've been Peating for quite some time and had seen great changes, despite being in a sertoninic/stressful environment. Peating allowed me to enjoy even some of the stressful situations which created a positive feedback loop and increased my metabolism. This was amplified greatly when I took thyroid, where things i used to dislike or dread became enjoyable and therefore stimulating. This I think has for now created a life where as you say leads to meaningful/proper leisure despite still being in a poor environment lacking higher forms of leisure such as good art, meaningful conversation, nature and architecture that is beautiful etc.

Topical Application
The Ray Peat sphere is probably the only place on the internet that I see people discuss topical application of supplements. Vitamin k on wrists or testicles, Progesterone rubbed on the forehead, androgens applied on the belly button. Is there any actually advantage of doing this? Is it to avoid allergies when consuming them orally? If so what supplements have you found to be better when applied topically and in what areas. Thanks for any feedback!
