@buckminster Wise words... We are living in neoliberal or even techno-feudal times...
It may be that people think that the West is "left" because of the current Woke influence...

@saturnuscv It's unfortunate, that you got banned.
Our "Lion King" Charlie is getting more and more out of sanity...
@mostlylurking said in Dismantling Charlie's words and deeds on the "raypeat "forum and here:
It is galling to see Ray Peat's name used for such ridiculous drivel. Charlie needs to change the name of the forum.
Yes, definitely. Charli's attitude is all against Ray's in-depth, systemic, systematic, holistic, contextual wisdom and his respectful generous approach.
Are there any other RPF admins or influential members who have enough power to change this? Or are there any other means?
@Not_James_Bond and @Truth Can't agree more with you guys.
Charlie seems to be in deep trouble... and he's probably not aware of this...
But still sad to watch how RPF is becoming the opposite of what it was before...
Charlie's current behavior seems to indicate too much estrogen and too much serotonin, etc. "Low VA diet" failed him...
There can be a pantheistic god... Or maybe not...
A theistic god is rather just a fairytale to keep normies behaving in order (keep their heads down)...
@deadkaczynski If one wants almost Limitless experience it would be good to follow Ray's principles to the max, plus add Haidut's elixirs to the mix
One needs to be careful with Moda because it also raises Serotonin (see picture). Therefore, creating a Modafinil stack tailored to one condition/need would be good.
Example of my old stack: Modafinil + CBD; DHEA, B-vitamins, Zinc, Magnesium, DLPA/Tyrosine + BCAA, taurine + theanine, beta-alanine, collagen/gelatin, glutamine, and optionally inosine.
There is a natural cycle... (which can be prevented with a proactive approach)
Usually, early adopters/majority are highly engaged and interested in in-depth knowledge/understanding. And doing this with intellectual honesty and respect...
Then comes the rest... which usually prefers superficial understanding and easy mindless recipes.
And probably that happened in part to RPF, people with shallow/reductionist minds and a lack of systemic/holistic/dialectical understanding started to be the majority...
It also includes the commercialization of the forum... (as others already pointed out)
Interesting.
BTW Ray's idea wasn't only about WHAT to learn i.e. Biology, Chemistry, etc.
He was also big on HOW to learn i.e. philosophical aspects like ontology, epistemology, phenomenology, arts, etc.
@oliveoil said in Why is the Ray Peat community so far right?:
What you call "far right" is simply the common sense and standards that normal society had decades ago.
But have you noticed that decades ago we had about 5 billion fewer people, no smartphones/internet, no PUFA, very little plastic, etc?
We are path and context-dependent...
@Andreas said in Why is the Ray Peat community so far right?:
@Kvirion This pendulum is probably natural and good. Many of the young people who react to a totalitarian left state with turning to right-wing ideas would have been left-wing in the 1960ies as a reaction to a totalitarian right-wing state.
Yes, we are in full agreement. Best regards.
Yes, the current progressive people are self-destructive, as can be seen in their love of veganism, their apocalyptic outlook, their willingness to destroy their societies out of unrealistic ideas.
Yes, and therefore we have a homeostatic reaction in our social ecosystem. For example, many traditional progressives are joining the right... Moreover, many young people also are joining the right side.
Unfortunately, there is a lot of populism, therefore many people with an honest willingness to help (make things better) are getting scammed (on both sides)...
@Andreas Agreed, with a small correction.
Ray prised individual development but also he was a strong proponent of collaboration for a common cause and supporting the poor/oppressed.
I.e. we may call such an approach communitarianism.
@Londyman It's good to have a dynamic balance between order and chaos.
If there is too much order then we have stasis, nothing moves/changes, and there is no response to a continuously changing environment...
@lutte For people (anti-establishment) and progressive. Sometimes even anarchistic...
The current left isn't like that definition...
BTW it's good to have different perspectives (the whole spectrum) and look for respectful consensus. Currently, most politicians/activists just push their agenda without caring about others...
@consvmmatvm_est
Sunlight, ADEK, and B vitamins; thyroid levels in check, avoiding PUFAs...

Bump; I would like to know this too
@AryanRaypEat Peat said that the most important was spreading the bioenergetic message. He didn't care about the political affiliation of the receivers. He was rather on the left side (in the traditional sense).
I guess this forum simply attracts outsiders/outliers of the mainstream, on both sides, left and right....
BTW Honestly, I think that currently left and right have different meanings than in the XX century...
@jhp It''s good to know this about grounding https://youtu.be/JGD68wd_f7I
