I believe the deeply genital-oriented erection "libido" is driven by the same thing that initiates the process of puberty and that would probably be too much estrogen and cortisol.
People tend to masturbate more often when stressed and so it can be seen as an estrogen/cortisol driven activity.If your "libido" lowering is thinking about and consuming less pornography then it is probably a sign that you are in a higher energy state.
However if you no longer respond to sexual stimulation / tension with reciprocal feelings it is probably a sign something IS wrong. -

@Abaris Thank you and yes, that does actually sound like what I've been doing most of my "study seasons". Just recently been so overwhelmed by sudden exam workload (first year med) and feeling quite retarded overall.
I've always hated the routine studying things and as @skylark said when I take it as a game it's much more rewarding and always feels like I've beaten the "system" when I pass my exams by luck and last day studying or even some cheeky 3rd party help.
Maybe it's time to invest in a chalkboard.

On a low-calorie diet where you get the carbs your brain needs you should lose mostly fat.
I've heard Peat mention - NOT RECOMMEND - how someone who was eating a 500-600 calorie crash diet but was losing mostly fat by getting adequate minerals.
I do not know what minerals he was talking about but probably large amounts of calcium, magnesium and vitamin D, which are in his own words "The most powerful weight loss nutrients there are" since they suppress PTH and inflammation.Slow and steady fat loss is key especially when the fat is from years of eating PUFA in order not to overload the system with excess unsaturated fatty acids that will be released from fat stores.
An occasional coconut oil tablespoon (as in the carrot salad) gives your body a break from constant PUFA attacks and so is helpful in fat loss.Restoring oxidative metabolism like @mostlylurking mentioned is also very important. A sugar based diet should increase the metabolic rate in a healthy animal/human, but I do not think it applies when you're too fat and living off fat oxidation (paradoxical yes but blame estrogen).
Try to keep track of your metabolic rate as it's probably the driving force behind fat loss/gain: After breakfast underarm temps of at least 37C and pulse rate of 85BPM. Use this to know if your caloric deficit is too steep.
Tldr: Caloric deficit diet based on low fat milk and OJ with enough vitamin D is king. I'd add plenty salt, glycine, fruit(simple sugars), recreational weightlifting and walks in sunlight.

Estrogen is only bad when there's a prolonged excess in relation to the protective hormones, this excess is easy to achieve. Give a man enough estrogenic compounds and he will grow boobs and get a caboose rivalling women.
Fat itself is a source of estrogen.Estrogen shifts oxygen usage on a cellular level from glucose metabolism (high CO2 output) to fat metabolism (low CO2) which promotes water retention in cells, the water retention promotes cell divison.
Thus estrogen promotes tissue growth where it's present (like the breasts and thighs) and if it chronically outweighs anti-estrogenic compounds (progesterone) you may end up with cancerous growths. -

@Quantification 50g of gelatin should have 10+ grams of glycine, I also find gelatin easier and cheaper to source with the same effect.
My only concern is the hypoglycemia possible after taking a lot of protein at once. -

Laziness and studying from a bioenergetic view
Do you beautiful people know a "Peaty" way to alleviate laziness?
This is especially when studying things I don't want to but have to, very childish yes but has been something to deal with as long as I remember.I know Peat himself studied sporadically reading/doing things of his own interest, but there's always a component of discipline I have missed.
Maybe something to help information retention and recall?
