Nicotinic acid does something that niacinamide doesn't, it binds to the GPR109A receptor which stops intestinal inflammation, I've noticed that the flush also regulates serotonin when I feel I've got too much of it in my head.

@Santosh said in Beard growth?: What credit do you give to people randomly commenting that their delivery was late or that they got scammed without any further explanation on what the scam was exactly about. Well if it were one or two hecklers I wouldn't give any credence to it at all. But it appears there's more than that. And it's cross-platform, meaning they've gotten complaints on more than one forum. If it is a smear campaign, then it's highly coordinated. And to what end? @Santosh said in Beard growth?: I mean precisely. I need third party lab tests, the name of the compound they ordered, the name of the compound they actually received, the purity percentage. There was a guy on the MESO-Rx forum who went into detail about getting shipped the wrong thing. Worse than that, apparently the number on his bag matched what he was suppose to get, but the actual contents were something else. He was taking it but he quickly realized something was wrong.

@peatolish I think the true reason behind gyno is not 100% clear some say the main driver is prolactin others estrogen etc. But I think If we look at like ray did, its all connected and comes down to metabolic dysfunctions. Def your hypo and insulin resistance could attribute to that. Also some have normal estrogen levels but there are like 3 estrogens you must check before on the safe side. E1, E2 & E3 But if you have a good look at your bodycomposition, your skin, body hair in unusual areas, your mood you def need no blood test to see if your estrogen driven. Before taking Metformin I would consider other things like niacinamide, magnesium, cardenosine, inosine def pyrucet etc. You'll find many threads on RPF about it or you can look into podcasts / videos from haidut or peat. I never heard about thyroid issues with gyno but I would not be afraid in your case. all fat solubles A D E K are also used for gyno, for example in japan I think the official treatment for gyno is A & K topically IIRC.

You would have to pack your own capsules to dose all those substances evenly and consistently. That would be fine for the B vitamins and would remove most of the excipients that you are probably looking to avoid, but it would be a pain for the other stuff. No doubt you've seen the D3/K2 oil blends out there, but the ratio is likely not what you'd like. You could add "dry D" powder to your B-complex capsules, but I'd keep the K separate (as oil or w/e you like). Preg+E oil is probably your best bet.

@kenji Also avoid coconut oil. Malassezia has lipases that can break it down and feed on it. I forgot this last night and my scalp is itchy today.

@Mulloch94 Perhaps you miss a fundamental step that by the time the substance leaves the system the final acetylcholine will perhaps be higher than before. Do you understand what I mean? a typical example is when you use Cypro for example you might feel terrible during it but when it comes out you will feel better due to a matter of receptor under-regulation and over-regulation. I gave a random example but it could apply to anything we introduce. I absolutely need to reactivate acetylcholinesterase or antagonize whatever is blocking the enzyme. They mention atropine scopolamine but the hospital should do it, not me!

@basebolt very interesting, appreciate that. Will keep an eye on it, I ordered 2kg of gelatin so Im going to try that, but might supplement with B complex then. Will keep the glycine thing in mind for when I do get problems. Thanks voor the well thought out response.

@CO3 Ok starting with https://dannyroddy.substack.com/p/bioenergetic-basics-7-where-to-start At 3m15s video cites the book "Hypothyroidism The unsuspected Illness" Broda Barnes Basal metabolic rate test: Measure underarm temperature up waking and in the afternoon. Test suggests temp should be 97.8F upon waking, and afternoon should rise to 98.6F. I like specific numbers, even if they're averages, caveats etc. Also appreciate the detail about meal temperature.

@basebolt I have no idea. I know there's some guy who produces some kind of mass spec reports for these kinds of things, but I would shoot for USP grade of anything you put in your body AT MINIMUM

Ray spoke about the no flush BB-3 https://www.bioenergetic.life/clips/423de?t=5718&c=108 “…The old, it's still popular, the nicotinic acid that makes people turn red, what it's doing is increasing the release of serotonin and activating prostaglandin production, stuff you don't want to happen. And even the kind they call no-blush, no-flush niacin, it's inositol hexonicotinate, I think is its name. It still releases nicotinic acid which releases serotonin, where the niacinamide doesn't do that. And even the slow release or the nicotinic acid are for sure going to increase the risk of diarrhea by increasing your serotonin and prostaglandins. Right. Good stuff. Once again, anything else you want to elaborate on?”
