The focus on it is vastly disproportionate as opposed to very negative health factors - and nicotine in certain doses is likely quite healthy - but that doesn't negate the simple fact that inhaling smoke from burnt plant matter is obviously very unhealthy. Anyone that argues otherwise is not really being serious and for me it's a good litmus test for whether someone cares about truth. Been smoking since I was 15 btw

@Hussle1738 You just need to raise your energy level with what is good for you and it will happen eventually, doesn't have to be at all complicated

@bluebloodmed no! It's been there continuously on and off. Asked ray about it and he said if correcting vitamin d3, thyroid, pregnenolone doesn't work (none of this necessarily means taking those) then surgery isn't stupid

@SexyPizza I think just PG and VitE would work for most things. Maybe if your vitamin E oil is too thick you could add some oleic acid to thin it out, but other then that you should be good. Or you could try oleic acid (OA) + PG + Limonene. But I generally don't see the need of adding two lipid-based solvents together. That's just my 2 cents, I'm very far from an expert in this regard. @brightside seems far more knowledgeable in this area. He seems to be well versed in making emulsions, which would enhance the penetration of lipid-based solutions even more than free base. Which ever way you decide, these solutions will be extremely "nonvolatile." So you're looking at something that will have a more slow, but continuous, absorption rate. Which I think is probably good, especially for people who only want to dose one time per day. The only downside is it will take a while to dry on skin. So I would give application site at least 30 minutes of air time to dry before putting on a shirt or pants. And if you're pressed for time and can't wait that long, you could always gently wrap the application site in plastic wrap before putting clothes on over it.

that said, there are things that Duhigg calls keystone habits. I think a keystone habit can change everything else, kind of starts basic and then filters through your entire life. I'll use an example. Someone who avoids dairy because the bros say "you shouldn't eat the milk of another animal." So you introduce a bit of cheese into your diet. That cascades through your life and choices you make are changed. You begin not believing them about, say, carbs... In a relationship that has stagnated, often just kissing a lot and passionately can become the keystone habit that brings passion and interest back into the relationship. So one thing can have profound effects in this way -- by being a catalyst that lets you change other stuff.

@fd Which of those diets made you gain 5-10 lbs? If it did so, why did you stop with that diet? If none of the diets made you gain weight, it could be possible you are hyperthyroid. Otherwise, one of them would at least work. If you weren't hypothyroid, you would be metabolizing sugar well and what you eat would be utilized in building structure, among other things. Unless the energy is wasted or used up in being hyperthyroid. If you were hypothyroid and not metabolizing sugar well, then a keto or carnivore diet would allow you to not to build fat as metabolizing fat is easier to do than metabolizing sugar, given efficient sugar metabolism is like doing a very complicated routine in gymnastics and many of us fail to do it well. And a carnivore diet means your muscle and protein stores simply convert to sugar when needed, so there is no chance for blood sugar to spike to high levels where a lot of insulin secreted by rhe pancreas would cause the liver to convert blood sugar to fat. Keto and carni would allow to build structure and gain some weight, however flawed those approaches are. But you aren't. What have you done by way of testing to ascertain you aren't hyperthyroid (much less hypothyroid? Are you hypothyroid, euthyroid , or hyperthyroid? This is not an easy question to answer, as most doctor s, even endocrinologists, get it wrong by miseducation by the Flexner Report- gamed medical system. It's important you get this question answered satisfactorily. Or you're just throwing darts blindfolded. OTOH, as you had briefly mentioned, you may also want to look if there is something wrong with how well your gut absorbs nutrients. Assuming your nutrition is free from making you deficient in macros, vitamins, and minerals. Add: Toxins and infection and trauma arw faxtora to consider as well.

@bones said in B12 Issues Digestion/ IBS: No never tried any Calcium supplements yet, It may be worth giving it a try. At least it was a game-changer for me (together with a carrot salad) Look for a pure form, without additives... what exactly does it mean to follow Ray's nutritional advice? In short try these recommendations: https://youtu.be/oGEbaCiih5o and other Danny's videos. Or this https://biochemnordic.com/ray-peat-diet-thyroid/ Complex answer: is worth reading resources like this https://bioenergetic.forum/post/4 But the key to Ray's idea is to "Percive. Think. Act". i.e. continuously observe and adapt your diet and lifestyle... And you can always ask us here.

As someone who has a very sensitive gut, I find that when all else fails just a raw, skinned carrot taken along with salt, dissolved in soda or juice, creates the lest disturbance, and usually results in helping digestion and promotes elimination. The oils (coconut or olive) and vinegar can be a gamble, in terms of gut distress. I don't doubt that they're doing their job, they just can create too much trouble.
