Had these a couple days ago for breakfast and felt the best I'd felt in a few months. Need to do it more often.

RE: Iris
@Emilia I've had the same since around the age of 10 I believe. Sometimes doctors or opticians have noticed it and just asked "has that always been there?" and then they don't take it any further than that. Certain exo-thinkers believe it to be some kind of indicator of organ health for the person with the pigment.

RE: Liquid Diet
@Fructose Nearly 6 months later, is this still working for you? Has it gotten better/worse or stayed the same?

RE: Peating in poverty
@Njegos If it helps to think about, I experienced joint and back pain for most of my teenage life until I hopped on a Peaty diet and it disappeared. Only comes back if I'm eating poorly. And I wasn't even taking aspirin when I started, but in my experience aspirin helps me more with brain inflammation rather than joint and muscle.
Peat has spoken before in podcasts and in his own articles before that it is incredibly beneficial to one's psyche to have a positive outlook to healing, and being able to believe that most ailments can be healed.

Is it possible to force a creative state?
How many 'creative types' are here on the forum? Do many of you create what you'd call art or stuff that pleases you in a similar way?
In the enclosed world I live in, it seems that creative efforts are hard to come by. I often have flutters of creative ideas come into my head sometimes but I am never able to put anything I briefly think of into a sort of realistic adaptation.
I was hoping to hear anecdotal reports from the people here of experiences they've had with being able to slip themselves into that creative but also productive mindset. For you creative types, what do you typically do to get yourself into the mood of creating?

RE: tips for girlfriends acne coming back?
Acne for me personally is strongly correlated with eating more fat in my diet but moreso from eating things like pasta or eating at restaurants.

RE: Thoughts about my diet ? Do I have potential to achieve PUFA deficiency in a few years?
@Androsclerozat Sorry to draw away from the original thread but may I ask what you eat, personally?
Do you consume much fat in your diet? If you are low fat what do you eat? My intention in asking these questions is trying to draw conclusions from multiple accounts of what can work for people here and experiment with applying it myself. -
RE: r/RayPeat someone, along with their family, developed an ARA and DHA deficiency
I'd be interested to see if a more academic poster could provide an alternative explanation. My reading comprehension must be very poor because I can't see him post how the deficiencies he is talking of presented themselves?

RE: Thoughts about my diet ? Do I have potential to achieve PUFA deficiency in a few years?
@Ray-Peat-Fanboy I tried a similar approach to this diet a few months back and ran into a few problems. Do you mind if I ask you questions regarding it?

Does your skin feel dry at all? Especially the palms of your hands?

How often do you buy potatoes and how do you store them? Do you often find lots of eyes and growths on them?
-
Do you put anything else on the potato? Or do you just eat them boiled?
-
Do you often feel euphoric? Would you say your mood is good on this diet?

RE: Has anyone felt worse after eating seed oils?
I've noticed when I've eaten high PUFA food on a special occassion that I have the potential to hate myself very easily.

RE: Progest E Love Thread
Progest-E never seemed to give me any noticeable reactions, good or bad, as a man in my early 20s. Aspirin gives me much greater benefits.

If that is really all you ever consume I doubt it'd take more than a year tbh...

RE: High energy. Adrenaline or other?
During my time 'Peating' I have been in what I would call a "high energy state" many times but I'd say like 95% of these times pale in comparison to the 5% where I feel absolutely amazing and like a higher power has suddenly blessed me with immense health.
I recall someone saying that Ray once said having good thyroid function means you can "think the way you want to about different things" and so I'd categorize a healthy high energy state in this way; feeling great and being able to think in new ways you hadn't previously.
In work environments, you will see people who seem to have abundant energy and are able to carry out their work very quickly. But if you look a little closer, you might see that the majority of these people are running completely on stress and if there is any extended gaps in the flow of their busy-ness they become completely miserable.

RE: Physiological cause of jealousy?
I have experience with severe jealousy, that I knew rationally I was in the wrong for thinking but it completely took over my thoughts and would continue to on and off for a very long time.
What has helped me personally was doing things that lowered my inflammation (for me, removing starches, drinking lots of milk, aspirin) but also something that I had great success with was to write down basically my expression of how I felt and why I felt that way as honestly as possible.
It's something I had tried to talk to the person with before but never left me psychologically satisfied. In your situation you may be able to express yourself honestly face to face but I couldn't do that in my case.
Ever since I wrote what I wanted to say, my thoughts on the matter no longer linger with me like they used to for hours before. I know this sounds like mainstream bullshit but it might be worth a shot, especially to write it all down at a moment when you are ruminating on the feeling intensely.

RE: Safe sunscreens for face?
@odiniccold Refined coconut oil alone may work to some extent, whilst also being moisturising. But if that isn't enough then an emulsion of safe fats with zinc oxide is probably best.
I have bought this before and it seemed alright but to be honest I didn't feel much point using it where I am in the UK lol.

RE: Bitter coffee
@Lizb How long has it been since you've noticed the change? Have you tried again with the same coffee from a different bag/jar? It could be contaminated but also could be a sign that you maybe don't need it as much as you did before right now?

RE: Dexamphetamine withdrawal
@LucyJ As a last resort, low dosing LSD for a month may be helpful.
