@Nik Remove conventional birth control. Condoms are so much safer. Estrogens and progestins are very inflammatory. Though I guess you are asking in this way because she doesn't want to drop it for some reason. I think Progest-E would still be helpful for her even on birth control but as long as she is on birth control I don't know if she'll make big improvements in health.

RE: Why are raw vegan “sugar free” desserts so much tastier than desserts with sugar?
Well, white sugar is just sweet. Fruits have more flavours.

RE: Forum seems kinda dead... What other forums do you guys use
I think a lot of people in this sphere just use twitter right now

Does coffee filter any fluoride?
Title. Just curious about this because I'll be travelling to the US in a few months and wanted to know if me making filter coffee would help to remove some of the fluoride from the tap water.
Ray said previously that making filter coffee is an effective way to filter water but didn't specifically say what gets filtered.
Also, any good "Peaty" options in 7-Eleven? It's the closest shop to where I'm staying. Never visited USA so any other such tips for a Brit staying 2 weeks would be appreciated! Cheers.

RE: Tased Thyroid
@Uncover In fairness his thyroid would still be there just severely damaged so it could probably regain function again but likely hard without supplementing thyroid

RE: Experiences with RAW MEAT.
Felt quite sedated once after eating raw lamb but possibly hundreds of other factors involved.

RE: Favorite bulking strategies
@Luke Yeah, every time I use cypro for at least a week I gain a lot of weight that never seems to go away. I still can't really figure out how good or bad that is though because I don't really visibly see the extra weight...

RE: How do I not play the victim?
Yeah that's definitely learned helplessness bro. You're right in the middle of it.
Best thing you could probably do short of moving out (which of course nowdays can be a monumental feat, especially young) is to start making money in a way that isn't too stressful like a part time barista job or something and using the money to make your own meals and snacks so don't have to rely on potentially unhealthy foods being given to you.

RE: Cheap peaty fruit suggestions
I found I digest frozen sweet cherries very well. I just defrost them and then drizzle them in chocolate sauce and it makes a nice sweet bowl. Half the cost of fresh cherries normally and funnily they're probably picked when ripe whereas the fresh product is likely artificially ripened.

RE: What makes one unable to get brainwashed?
I guess it depends on what is meant by "brainwashing", right? I started to sort of see cracks and lies in the mainstream from around 13 but it was also the start of a terrible depression streak for me and I was FAR away from being healtht or having a good metabolism.

RE: Phytoestrogen
@LucH Do you use raw leaves? I think OP is talking about green smoothies made with raw spinach and kale.

RE: Sleep Paralysis Stories
In memory, only had it once and it was last time I was using cypro for 2 weeks. Felt like what people describe as a Benadryl trip. It was really strange, can't say I liked it but it wasn't terrible.
It felt like I was in the process of waking up from my sleep. I could just about feel a physical sensation that my body was heavy, especially my arms which were placed above my torso. I felt as if I was going through one of those dreams where you sort of go about your morning routine but were actually still asleep, yet somehow different and more ominous.
I could see sort of looming shadows on my ceilings which gradually expanded, and in the sort of dreamscape I was at my sink basin where the mirror hangs, and there was a sort of golden glow being surrounded by pitch black shadows behind me. As I recognised the presence of the glow/shadow it quickly grew in size and intensity and I eventually woke up properly with dead arms.

RE: Redbull Maxxing
I love Redbull but it makes me hyperactive and gives me terrible psoriasis if I do it too hard.

RE: Olive leaf extract increases T3 + T4, lowers TSH
Seems great but if it is so great what can we expect to be the downsides?

RE: Music through the bioenergetic way
I've found that listening to some types of music give almost like an adrenaline or stress response in myself, and I find myself unconciously going back to such songs and getting the same response again. Maybe this a hypothyroid thing, routinely submitting myself to this sort of mild stressor?

RE: Thyroidic sleep
Felt it for a couple days after properly discovering Peat and it went away pretty quickly. I had been restricting myself for a few years prior diet wise so when it clicked in my head that something like ice-cream or coca-cola aren't inherently bad I felt great relief. Not properly felt that way since. I was 19.

RE: Major retailers join forces with UK dairy farmers to trial methane-reducing feed additives
@ThinPicking Sorry it seems I am jumping to conclusions. I guess I am feeling attacked right now. I'm looking and it seems both Waitrose and Sainsbury's private label milks switched to Muller in the last couple years! Asda is the most advertised as being Arla supplied but I suspect Lidl, Aldi and Tesco also have Arla milk or Arla - Muller mix.
Graham's milk seems to be out of Arla's influence? Perhaps this will be a better option as I've noticed more supermarkets stocking their products in the last year.
https://news.arlafoods.co.uk/news/tesco-and-arla-launch-groundbreaking-sustainability-partnership It seems however Muller has a similar deal with Arla for this additive use but in this article only lists Tesco.

RE: Major retailers join forces with UK dairy farmers to trial methane-reducing feed additives
@wrl Do you know what shops have it because I think I've seen it once but can't remember where? I've had their UHT cow's milk in the past and really liked it.
