when asked about zinc, in this interview Dr. Peat said:
"Gluconate is okay, but I don't think doses above 10 milligrams per day are safe." -

RE: The pro-metabolic drug DNP, banned by FDA, may treat most diseases
lost 20 pounds this month running a relatively low dose of DNP and just walking as often as possible in the woods near my house. diet is like 500carbs 200p 130f. supplementing with k2 d3 and progesterone. never felt too hot or out of breath. a fan is helpful for sleeping though. ray peat said cataracts (which to my knowledge is a relatively rare side effect in men) can be alleviated by increasing vitamin C intake. also peripheral neuropathy is a side but ive never gotten it, other than that theres basically no actual side effects other than heat. its fucking awesome.

RE: Concentric only exercises
Benefits of avoiding eccentric / concentric only:
-(?) younger mitochondriaNegatives of avoiding eccentric:
-have to vastly reduce your exercise selection
-less gainz
-DYEL?regular concentric/eccentric bodybuilding training contains best of both worlds, youre getting hypertrophy and also all the benefits of concentric. Lets see you grow big biceps while avoiding eccentric training, its practically impossible unless you want to drop your barbells or dumbells after every rep. in fact if you look at what all the top oldschool bodybuilders say is to "control the eccentric"
watch this video of arnold doing biceps curls,
https://www.instagram.com/p/C3f4hRGsQIO/hes putting way more effort into the concentric and hes merely controlling the eccentric, he's not really fighting against it, hes not trying to slow the negative portion. this is how all the oldschool legends trained. All the internet fitness gurus who tell you to "fight the eccentric" and to "spend more time in the eccentric" actually have no idea how the golden era and best looking bodybuilders trained, all the emphasis was put on the concentric.

RE: vitamin k2 product
@thewhitetibetan
i started life extension a week ago after not having supplemented vitamin k for a year. instantly noticed relaxation feeling however a few hours after my first dose i feel a pain in my wisdom teeth. my left wisdom tooth has been very slowly erupting for the past few months (maybe a impacted wisdom tooth?idk) but its funny how only a few hours after vitamin k i feel pain on that wisdom tooth when there was no pain for months, meaning its working.. also i get horny at night time and need to goon..life extension product: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RL1J9BV

RE: Topical Minoxidil: is it really that bad?
@AstralPMP said in Topical Minoxidil: is it really that bad?:
Castor oil testimonials do seem a little lackluster if used in isolation. Palpitations are no fun. I'd consider supplementing with thyroid before going back to minoxidil.
You're sure also that you have enough biotin, D, and E in your diet/ stack?yeah i supplement with vitamin d and progest-e. i also eat lots of cooked eggs so im getting biotin, i did have a period where i ate a lot of raw eggs whites in my protien shakes, maybe this could have caused some biotin deficiency but i stopped doing the raw eggs a few months ago.
my temples have that classic bald shine on them so im pretty sure they're calcified. im currently supplementing with vitamin k and dermarolling and finger massaging it as often as possible to break up the scar tissue.
(not me) but this is what my hair looks like except ive grown my sides and back out way longer, my temples are extremely receded basically up to the middle of my skull but the rest of my hair is healthier and longer than ever. im definitely getitng a transplant this year i really like having hair and the hair transplant technology has gotten really good. my donor area is pristine so i should be able to get full coverage with 3000 grafts i might even push my hairline a bit lower since ive always had a 5head.

RE: Topical Minoxidil: is it really that bad?
@AstralPMP
actually yes i started topical castor oil last month, i use it at as carrier oil for rosemary oil, since rosemary oil alone can cause scalp irritation and burning. new studies show that rosemary oil is is supposedly as effective as 2% minoxidil. I haven't seen results yet using castor/rosemary but these things take time as the hair works in cycles.I dont see any insane castor oil/essential oil transformations online & alot of the people who use castor oil and are also on minoxidil, so its hard to estimate how effective it is. Minoxidil 5% monotherapy has some pretty insane transformations though.

RE: Why am I getting more handsome?
Erm.. what is the placebo effect? i've yet to see someone significantly change their facial structure with peating. I haven't even seen any before or after pic of high dose k2mk4 jaw transformations that some peaters claim in the kuinone thread on RPF. the only way to increase facial attractiveness past puberty is to lose weight, fixing your thyroid will also have a skin tightening effect but nothing insane. Some people have reported a "progesterone glow" but that might be placebo as well.

RE: What are non-Peaty things you still do?
i regularly goon and edge, i try to take bromocriptine on those days that i do, if i can remember.
