RE: Anabology Honey Diet & Protein Restriction
@jamezb46 seems plausible from an evolution standpoint, but not necessarily bad right? just because there's an adaptive response doesn't make it harmful unless proven otherwise.
I do think there are lots of factors for why a healthy human would only eat fruit for large swaths of the day, and gorge on fat and meat at night, if that's the paradigm we're thinking in, however.
also, it's not like you are totally deprived of amino acids during the sugar phase, transamination and amination both synthesize amino acids from keto acids in fruit, with the added benefit of lowering serum ammonia levels through (berries, citrus, pineapples all have precursors to α-ketoglutarate, which is bound to NH3 thus reducing amino levels)
I lift pretty religiously and haven't seen any reduction in strength, or slowing of progress for that matter, despite my weight dropping, so no catabolic action from protein fasting. pretty cool to be able to recomp as an intermediate actually

RE: Hating everything everywhere all at once
@IkeIkeforever progesterone is pretty safe and sold in any vitamin shop in the US. if you're interested in cynomel (T3) Danny Roddy has some good stuff simplifying it.
https://dannyroddy.substack.com/p/demystifying-thyroid-supplementation
here's rays article about progesterone as well
https://raypeat.com/articles/articles/three-hormones.shtmlYou can also use the low-toxin forum as a resource for testimonials. used to be the ray peat forum but got bought by a crazy retard, unfortunately.
"______ low toxin forum" in google or whatever will bring up relevant forum posts, since you need to pay to search in site.

RE: Anabology Honey Diet & Protein Restriction
@jamezb46 not sure where anabology got to isoleucine specifically actually. this study about fgf21 says that they were able to replicate the metabolism-boosting effect of restricting a myriad of individual amino acids.

RE: Hating everything everywhere all at once
@IkeIkeforever not sure what country you're based in but https://www.meds.com.mx/product_reviews_info.php/products_id/2931/reviews_id/39 is where i got my cynomel. really one of the most impactful sups I've taken. progesterone also helps greatly with a sense of general rage I felt (I work in the service industry, no shortage of retards whose head one might want to rip off)
it might be worth swapping the d3 with a chicken lamp and a red light setup, I find i get a comparable sense of well-being getting blasted by lamps when the sun isn't available.

RE: Hating everything everywhere all at once
@IkeIkeforever try to get 3 solid poops a day lol. know it sounds trite but having good gut motility really does wonders for the mind. cascara, carrot salad, thyroid supplementation all helped me with this. would probably help with the appetite too, you sound hypothyroid.
I doubt a doctor would give you any help, many people go to doctors with these kinds of "psychosomatic" issues and get laughed at to their face, or worse prescribed some sort of antidepressant.
you need to figure out some sort of vision for how you want your life to look in 5 years and find actionable steps you can take to achieve it. read rays work on learned helplessness, sounds like you have a pretty bad case. getting stronger, accumulating small wins in the gym can help with this is the short term.
Expect miracles and they will come!

RE: natural moisturizer
@nothingclever I made some methylene blue mixed in tallow, coconut oil, honey, and beeswax and its amazing. healed some long standing acne scars on my face. yuka is a good app to check products for poison if you don't feel like making it yourself.

RE: natural deodorant
@nothingclever topical application of androsterone improved my natural odor greatly, even after I stopped using it. I suspect that stress hormones mediate smelly pits in some way, when I feel good I smell good. haven't used deodorant in many months and I ask my friends frequently to tell me if I smell, they say they never noticed anything.

RE: Anabology Honey Diet & Protein Restriction
@Serotoninskeptic I've been running this for the past few weeks and really been feeling the positive effects of protein restriction. I think it's important to note that eating only glucose/fructose upregulates FGF21 expression via isoleucine restriction, and such high serum fructose reduces phosphate levels by 30-50% according to this study.
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/11036473/
so getting super high dietary calcium as many peaters recommend is probably less necessary.an unexpected result was that I find myself urinating much less, and when I do, I have very little foaming, which would probably be expected when consuming low protein. I will admit that the fasting portion of the diet is pretty brutal, especially coming from drinking milk by the quart, but i think you'd get the same antiinflammation and metabolism-boosting effects, just without the weight loss omitting it.
It's also notable that my nasal passages are much less swollen, for my whole life I've only been able to breathe through one nostril at a time but now I can breathe through both almost all day, but with my last meal, they swell up again.
you should try it out and see for yourself!

RE: What is your opinion on this iodine protocol to double testosterone
@William-Shat retard shit. nuke your thyroid with lugols iodine lol. also free test levels basically useless without shbg, dht, estrogen, prolactin, etc...
-
RE: Is insulin generated from sugar intake anti-anabolic?
@Pooooop growth hormone is a stress hormone that promotes the liberation of fatty acids in the bloodstream. one of the main benefits of carb intake is lower growth hormone.

RE: What foods are you eating fr thanksgiving.
any food cooked with love is metabolic

RE: Delete! Delete
@waterbottle 1mg of any androgen one time would absolutely not cause any difference in muscle mass. did you increase your protein intake? Leucine can increase muscle protein synthesis

RE: How to fix haemorrhoids/piles?
@sneedful now foods beef gelatin because its the best bang for your buck, if money was no object Id go for carnivore aurelias seems to be the highest quality on the market

RE: How to fix haemorrhoids/piles?
@LetTheRedeemed I'd imagine taking that much isolated glycine would irritate your gut. other amino acids in gelatin are also antiinflammatory.
"Some types of cell damage are prevented almost as well by alanine and proline as by glycine, so the use of gelatin, rather than glycine, is preferable, especially when the gelatin is associated with its normal biochemicals. For example, skin is a rich source of steroid hormones, and cartilage contains “Mead acid,” which is itself antiinflammatory." -peat

RE: Stuck in Fight/Flight/Freeze mode - Is there a way out?
eat enough. avoid pufa. try and get regular sleep schedule. keep smoking cigs and drinking coffee or energy drinks or whatever if you want to. listen to how you feel and don't stop evolving. bonus points if you start supplementing thyroid or taking progesterone, biggest needle movers in way of reducing stress hormone for me

RE: How to fix haemorrhoids/piles?
@Mossy got the idea from someone on the old forum who was talking about doing the same thing for hemorrhoids and having really good results. I tried smaller amounts and found that 50 to 60 grams is most effective. you'd be getting 15-20 grams of glycine with that much gelatin, which is a big contributor to its anti-inflammatory effects, plus your GI tract is comprised of collagen so it only makes sense to supplement for GI healing.
don't really get any constipation issues with it, but i think i have really good motility. maybe some cascara with it for increased peristalsis could help?

RE: How do you find unlimited motivation?
@saduakas
increase dopamine basically, stack from @spheno_xiphoid on twitter:-9-methyl-β-carboline
-Bromantane
-Uridine monophosphate
-PhenylalanineComplemented by:
-High dose thiamine + other B vitamins
-Vitamin C
-Creatine
-Bright sunlight -
RE: How to fix haemorrhoids/piles?
I have an on and off hemorrhoid issue that i can clear up pretty consistently by megadosing gelatin powder. 60 grams dissolved in oj before bed for a day or two usually clears it up.

RE: Hyperparathyroid at 17 in a bind
@gg12 Increase dietary calcium. This is because adequate dietary calcium can prevent the body from pulling calcium from the bones into the bloodstream. dairy products or powdered eggshells. lower parathyroid will improve thyroid production, which is what converts cholesterol into testosterone.
