@Insomniac I've long considered the benefit or harm from mere increasing or lowering of bp to be dependent on context. People in relative good health worry about rising BP, only to realize they haven't yet experienced the other side of the coin in poor health, where low BP is what needs to be concerned about. MB causing high BP is more s function of MB increasing metabolism, and when that happens, there isn't much to be concerned about.

@fucker i dont know if i cured or not my dermatites and dandruff but the last 2 weeks it has been gone. I'm not absolutely sure what exactly is tackling the problem but i believe the main factor is because i have been drinking lots of sugared lemon juice. My scalp, skin, forehead have become much more hidrated, smooth. I noticed i piss a lot less when i drink sugared water then when i drink just water. It seems that my body is actually retaining and using the water when i drink it sugared. It hidrates my throat, helped me overcome morning sorethroats. If i drink just water i dont feel hidrated, my throat feels dry and i just piss it away in a matter of minutes. If i drink a cup of pure water in 5 minutes i am pissing it away. It needs more testing. Not sure if the lemon is even necessary but it tastes better than pure water + sugar. Half a lemon + 300ml water + 3 spoon of sugar or more. I Drink it everytime i feel thirsty. Sugar to taste. I think pineapple might be even better because when i drink pineapple juice my hair becomes silkier. Other things ive done during the last 2 weeks didnt drink milk eat only hot meals stopped using shampoo (a long time ago actually not just this week)

The synthetic stuff is with downsides. Just eat whole foods. Medium rare (at least) beef organs. Heat reduces B12 content significantly, this is very often neglected.

@Insomniac Well, sodium is a lighter element, so if we're taking about making a co2 bath then the difference in molar mass might start to become significant especially from a cost perspective over time.

@yeehawyinzer Do you sweat in summer? I don't sweat a lot most of the time even in the gym, but I sweat a lot if I workout in summer. Also have you tried walking more than 1h? It makes me sweat more than working out.

@Fructose Additionally, the notion of maintaining a constant equilibrium in a complex system is open to question. The system is in a state of constant fluctuation, moving in and out of equilibrium. Consequently, the assumption of true equilibrium may be invalid. The equilibrium of a complex system can be readily disrupted by a multitude of factors. With regard to CO2, it seems plausible that it functions as a stock-flow principle, analogous to a process such as pregnenolone from a technical standpoint. The body accumulates CO₂ to an optimal level, thereby facilitating the attainment of equilibrium within the system. Furthermore, evidence suggests that CO₂ is sequestered in bones, which lends support to the hypothesis that the body is constantly striving to maintain an optimal level of CO₂ within the system.

@LucH first sentence I do not understand. Second, if you think I have kidney stones why say it in greek? On oxalates: I do not think that is an issue for me, I consume little of it, and if I consume I feel ok, seems fine. Lastly, if I was to have a problem with oxalates isn't that related to the kidneys more than liver? More likely is I have gallstones (cholelithiasis).

@sphagnum Really interesting, thanks for sharing. I’ve had zero starches for a week now and feel like I’m dying. It’s truely a struggle to get enough calories. Might try a little of your approach with the starches.

@Uncover said in Open-label trials - how is this allowed?: The most fun part about it is there is awlays something to learn even when I think im almost done I find a new part of the puzzle Yeah, I've similar feelings here - it's probably nested like a Russian doll... One can think that he is out of the cage, but then turns out one is still inside a bigger cage... & @MarkusAllenUSA Regarding Open-label trials - besides what has been already written - and I agree with, another reason is that they are simply cheaper... And knowing that double-blind study can be sophistically manipulated too, then what's the difference? https://medium.com/@vohchenwei/the-risks-and-realities-of-data-manipulation-in-clinical-research-a-critical-analysis-for-medical-aea5d9207887 Especially knowing that today most researchers are not aware of the limitations of their own work... @yerrag Sorry to hear about your troubles, I wish you well and a quick recovery! Never trust GenAI about nuanced, subtle, or fuzzy topics. GenAI doesn't think or reason; it just makes statistical inferences between words. In technical terms, fennel seeds can increase serotonin, but practically not - the amounts are insignificant! (It is about weak MAO inhibitions) https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3521852/ The most probable mechanism is significantly increasing GABA, which should help with deep sleep. https://ppj.phypha.ir/article-1-664-en.html BTW be careful with fennel it can also increase estrogen... Substances known to potentially lower serotonin: S. Boulardii, lavender, Shilajit, beta-alanine, Ca, Mg, glycine, lysine, Tyrosine/DLPA + BCAA, Aspirin, vitamin B9, B1, quinones, caffeine, creatine, Schisandra, inosine, theanine, propolis, Siberian ginseng, PRL-8-53, LSD, and Manganese; avoiding PUFAs…

Two more months have passed. Healing from the thing in September was very slow, until I realized cutting down on nicotine was a good idea. Now limiting nicotine to after eating. Still not doing great, my body just doesn't seem to function very well. Trying to reintroduce things (like ketchup) made some symptoms come back, and then it's back to slow healing from that. At least now it's obvious that gastritis has been a problem all along. Definitely not doing as great now in fall and winter, although B vitamins seem to keep me going somewhat. No appetite, losing weight, no libido, barely enough energy to keep up with I need to get done, let alone having any energy to enjoy my free time. Is chronic gastritis enough to explain most of this, I don't know. Feels a little bleak. Considering trying an H2 blocker, just accepting being exposed to the excipients. A good thing is eating soft bland food has practically gotten rid of the constipation problem. I had been eating carrot salads for a long time out of pure inertia but they were actually constipating. Endoscopy coming up in a month.

@cs3000 said in Muscle twitches/acute “cramps”. Help appreciated: @ejmcc27 generally a sign of lower atp / hypoxia (eyelid is very common place to get twitches 1 area that shows hypoxia & hypothyroidism obviously, e.g darkens or droops down, with very high usage. atp is used in reversing muscle contraction, with twitches the muscle is failing to stay in the relaxed state), could try stopping vitamin D and limiting UV light for a few weeks to confirm if its that making it worse. thats what i found. + eating more calories if you have low intake (fat release of stored vit d otherwise). in poor health vitamin D can excessively convert to a form that inhibits mitochondria. it could be from a range of things causing the hypoxia / lower atp though I don’t believe/show signs of being hypothyroid. But will try to limit vitamin D and see what happens.

@happyhanneke For cynomel weigh out 10-20mg to get that 2.5 to 5mcg range. And with cynoplus make sure the doses don’t exceed 10mcg of t3 per dose. So 53mg of cynoplus max in a dose. Even less is probably better, splitting it up throughout the day.
