200g is probably excessive. Eat your broccoli but just don’t have too much.

Chris Masterjohn talked about how loading up on zinc doesn’t carry you but a couple days. And that having a more even dose daily is more effective. 2 oysters makes rda zinc

I bought it. I am a bit dubious towards the idea of eating it currently. I used it on my skin and it felt good, maybe even better than regular coconut oil. It has a very faint almost chemically smell but it actually doesn't smell bad. It says on the tub "Not for internal use" and I imagine if you contact the company to ask them whether you can eat it they will just say the same thing for legal reasons.

@Tarzan17 Its probably more likely to contain allergens and contaminants than unprocessed whole bean coffee. However if its more convenient and you prefer it i dont think this is a major issue

@reasonablepete This is how i feel with bananas and pineapples. Sure bananas have some starch and they both have serotonin. I love these fruits too much to not eat them because of a little serotonin

@Snow Yes these are very similar to caramel or toffee. Traditional taffy is usually fruit-flavored but these are more similar to a browned butter/caramel flavor.

@Isaac If you're metabolically healthy, which also means your blood sugar is well regulated, eating 3x a day is just right. But if you have blood sugar issues, then eating more often, is needed. I don't necessarily have to eat more, or less, for any meal. I eat as much as I can until I'm sated. And I follow what my body says is enough. But it is what works for me. My basal metabolism is such that I don't gain weight even when I don't exercise a lot. I'm not stuck in a cubicle either and the day goes by with me easily being active with housework, repairs, cooking, and mental activities like reading, writing, and solving problems. An active brain uses a lot of energy, and I find it more enjoyable than walking thru a boring neighborhood.

@LetTheRedeemed Unless I'm in a health forum, like RPF and this, I would not even know gut problems are a thing. I'm not sure if this is a matter of being more exposed to a group, online or not, that makes me more aware gut issues are quite common across the world, or that this is a phenomenon unique to the North American (except Mexico) experience and to a certain extent, to the Western European/North American/Down Under experience, all following the same world medical order of the AMA and its accomplices. Too much antibiotics? Too much persorption from using GRAS ingredients approved by the FDA-USDA combine? Too much vaccination? Too much incest in the research and industrial and academic and media that passes off toxicity as beneficial and scientific weaving a lifelong series of silent intoxication and then blaming genes for it? I don't see this kind of gut hypersensitivity in the Philippines. I suspect this isn't a thing in the whole of Asia, and even in Central or Eastern Europe, nor even the mideast and Africa. This situation makes it more difficult to eat starch and even some fruits. Seems like the imposition of sensitivities to natural foods that aren't even processed is the result of a carefully planned conspiracy by those whose aim to riches and power is by a systematic process of disabling a human's built-in natural defenses and ability to balance itself within.

It's said that white teas contain less fluoride. I personally do like the taste of such teas but interestingly I've noticed they sometimes give me a stomache ache, something I normally don't get.

@WarmthofGod You can make your own buttermilk very easily by just adding a tbsp. of vinegar to a cup of milk. Then let it sit for 10 minutes or so. It should thicken up. Now you have buttermilk.

Brominated vegetable oil- It is used in sports drinks and sodas as an emulsifier—a substance that helps blend liquids that don’t otherwise blend easily, such as oil and water. (According to the FDA, it keeps citrus flavorings from separating and floating to the top of the beverage.) It has been linked to neurological problems; thyroid, heart and liver problems; and behavioral, developmental, and reproductive issues.
