It is a physical health issue. I would reccomend being active in the sun. Most people sit too much. Inactivity is the killer.

Ammonia when eating meat sound like low stomach acid. Consider B12 and perhaps B6 and folic acid, as they go together. Intestinal overgrowth also comes to mind. Sulfuric foods like garlic and onions help absorb iron and copper, and if used wisely, can have an antibiotic effect. Inability to digest fat sounds like a bile issue. Supplementing taurine may be wise, as it needed for bile production and is an amino acid abundant in meat, which it sounds like you can't break down right now. Bile also cleans the intestine, so if it's lacking could be a factor in your digestive difficulties. While I know nothing about iridoglogy, bile is yellowish-green and I would lean towards that rather than copper.

I can't know exactly what's going on but I can offer some musings. Progesterone does release estrogen from tissues, and estrogen lowers liver glycogen. I remember reading some girl's twitter awhile ago and she took 3 drops a day and felt awful, but later came back to it and tried 5 and felt a significant difference, much better. If you're feeling ballsy, could try a bit more than you usually take. I think Katharina Dalton mentioned if during progesterone treatment the blood sugar drops, that it takes about a week to recover from that, it's why she was keen on the 3 hour starch diet. I don't think she knew about thyroid though (or persorption of starches in the intestine for that matter). You do need an active thyroid to convert carotene to vitamin A. Having a carrot salad when you're running on stress hormones is probably not too good. Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide) and a little bit of thyroid before bed can promote glucose usage overnight. Milk and honey before bed could be helpful. Taurine also increases liver glycogen.

@banquos-ghost Fluconazole works when you're taking it but the fungus comes back again a short time later. There is also the chance of growing a nasty fungus that is resistant to anti fungal meds. At least that's what the Doctor told me. I haven't found a more powerful antifungal than leaves from an olive tree. I boil them and then drink the tea. Never had any side effects from olive leaves.

Hello everyone, It should be noted that renal deficiencies have a very strong correlation with gynecomastia. I've had slight kidney dysfunction for all lf my life and started getting light gynecomastia at 18. Nothing alarming but it's there. Hence everything that improves kidney function might improve gynecomastia.

@NotShanalotte thanks. I have had irregular beats on and off in my life so they don’t really scare me. However after menopause I basically hardly ever had it anymore. So it does make sense that it comes back with hormone use.

@Rei-Peat it’s generally perceived as being hyperventilation leading to increased cortisol. In most accounts it seems like only healthy metabolisms to begin with respond to cold by generating heat. The over breathing of the method is in stark contrast to say buteyko breathing which slows breathing and uses controlled pauses to increase CO2, (which is seen as favorable to the metabolic rate).

Probably just a rise in metabolism. Same thing can happen when taking thyroid, however you eventually adjust to the effects of thyroid. Not sure about "high-dose" thiamine. Thiamine as opposed to thyroid will carry the additional risk of lower potassium levels. In regards to the adrenaline issue just eat more carbs and salt. If that doesn't cut it you could try also adding taurine, niacinamide, inosine, or progesterone. Basically anything that will blunt adrenaline until your metabolic "set-points" adjust to the new normal.

@voldtzeig I always go back and forth on whether to use water for hydration but I often come back to the conclusion that hydration levels are very important whenever IM dealing with stubborn issues. This would not be an issue if you eat like Peat (usually up to a gallon of fluids from fruit and milk), however many people dont do that. Of course water is not the only thing to account for (salt is so important), but you can see how many fluids shes having and if that helps (if shes already getting an average amount of carbs/fat/protein. Not that more food wouldn't help, but moreso that it wouldn't be the main cause likely). I can also add some experiences of having poor appetite all day and then drinking a few cups of water and regaining an appetite for a full meal. Of course the opposite can be true if someone is over consuming beverages, but if youre talking about the instance of post partum + breast feeding I think this might be part of the issue (more water + minerals).

Update: she finally did a blood test. She has low Vitamin D and low-ish (164) cholesterol. TSH is quite low, although I know it's not a definitive answer. Her ferritin is extremely low (4.8 ng/mL) and a single dose of iron glycinate has immediately warmed her up and made her less stressed. For now she will focus on bringing her iron and Vit D up, and hopefully her cholesterol will increase too. It might turn out she does not actually need exogenous thyroid. Her metabolism seems to have improved by leaps and bounds naturally, and I suspect these disappointing tests are due to increased nutritional requirements, exactly as if she did supplement thyroid already.

Looks like chromogenic bacteria with calculus build up. Dental clean should remove it but might need to change the oral flora to stop it building up again

I had a work friend several years ago who had endometriosis so bad the doctor said she'd never give birth. She left for a different job but surprised me at work later on that she had conceived! She was using 100mg Prometrium, which is sort of amazing because it has tons of junk like peanut oil and titanium oxide but the progesterone itself was still that powerful. She implied she used it vaginally but I was caught off guard about the whole thing and didn't ask for certain.

@ThinPicking said in Peter Breggin the Ray Peat of Psychiatry: Thank you! I need some more angles on this. Breggin exposed the harmfulness of electromagnetic therapy and other such barbaric treatments. He showed the same audacity for truth as Dr. Peat.
