@brad Mmmm thankyou for the recs. It’s currently summer in Australia but come winter shepherds pie and soups/broths will be my go to. As for charcuterie - love it, but am currently opting for lower fat options as I’m trying to lose weight. Thanks!

i doubt you can still sprout the grains after nixtamalizing, sprouting is the stage where the enzymes turn the starches into the malt sugars for the yeast. they do that with just water, so when you rinse off the lime you'll lose the sugars you wanted to begin with. what you can easily do, is replace the grain sugars with white sugar and molasses. and then while you're at it bitter it with something that's not hops, like tea, pine, yarrow, mugwort, birch leaves, magic mushrooms etc.. woody flavours work well too (boil the shit out of some nice branches). my best brew was coconut nectar (much like molasses), white sugar, sweetfern, jack pine, and white button and reishi mushrooms, with a british ale yeast. without the molasses you end up with something more like a cider.

@HoldenCox @bruh I agree with bruh- but if you were to add milk and gelatin to this plan, it could be a nice outline for busy days. Potatoes: have many beneficial components, but they are also high in starch. Maybe just a few times a week is better (with butter to slow down the digestion of starch). If you want to eat potatoes every day, Ray said that cooked potato juice could be a safe way to provide the ketones that are beneficial for people with metabolic or digestive problems. (You can use https://peatbot.com/ and type in Potato Juice to find how to make it). Liver: Peat recommended 4-8 ounces like every couple of weeks in general. Carrot Salad: It does seem most ppl in the community eat the carrot salad every day, but I don't prefer this. You really never know the quality of carrot you are consuming, even if it is organic or whatever. I like to mix it up with white button mushrooms, and also Cascara Sagrada. After years of eating the raw carrot every day, even Ray thought he had developed some resistance to its effectiveness, but I forgot where I heard this. Prob good to switch it up. Chicken: I think it is quite difficult to find chickens raised well and not fed corn or soy. For this reason, I avoid eating chicken meat and opt for ruminant animals such as beef as you mentioned (brisket, oxtail, lamb shank). It takes a while to cook these tougher cuts, but you can certainly speed up the process significantly with an instant pot.

@skylark I didn't have salt and I think a contrast of texture, which acts to produce a varied, non-linear force on the periodontal ligaments helps to stimulate the digestive secretions. "Chewing of foods stimulates the receptors in the periodontal ligament (Scott et al. 1998) sandwiched between the tooth and the alveolar process of the jaw bone, although interestingly these are not stimulated by empty chewing, i.e., teeth grinding (Anderson et al. 1996)." I don’t meal prep dinners but prep lunches daily. My go to is ground beef (start with onion cooked in butter in the pan for flavour base, then add beef), sweet potato and a carrot salad on the side . Usually top with some honey and devour as one big slop. Hits the spot taste and balance wise!

Good post! That is an insane product. I've heard textiles (furniture fabric, rugs, clothes, etc) are the majority source of microplastics in yo body. The polyester gets dustified and then you ingest the dust/little fibers floating around. These towels must be the worst of all though.

So I have studied this a lot. I drink both excellent coffee and excellent tea. Tea concentrates fluoride. The older the tea leaves used, the more fluoride gets concentrated. When you pay for good quality tea, you are getting tea made from the tips, the shoots, and they are low in fluoride. If you buy cheap tea in the supermarket, it is very high in fluoride. I think there are benefits to high quality tea. And I love tea. So I drink both coffee and tea all day long. I love the Japanese Gyukuro green teas, the Oolongs from Taiwan, and the amazing Keemun and Monkey teas from China. You can also rinse the tea and discard the water, washing the tea, to get rid of stuff on the surface of the leaves. We use loose teas only, of course, and use a Taiwan glass tea pot where we pour the water in. The top has a strainer on it. You can also do what they often do in Asia. You can add tea leaves to a glass and add hot water, and avoid eating the tea leaves, and they just steep together and it’s simple. You can reuse and infuse the tea several times.

@Peatriot I used to grow produce a few years back and had some great tomato and beet harvests. Got some extra seeds from friends from anniesheirloomseeds.com These carrots look amazing. They would definitely keep the salad more interesting. Parsnips or other root vegetables might have similar effects to the carrot salad (the nisin peptide I think is the antibacterial part of carrots) I would highly recommend y'all testing the soil you grow in for heavy metals. Supposedly, some areas can contain lead or mercury in the top-soil. You can reach out to some local chemistry departments at universities for this kind of testing.
