@Luke That's exactly how I feel except the negative effects are felt within 5 minutes. It's been over ten years since I've had daily, prolonged fluorescent light exposure so I no longer have any built up tolerance to it now. I doubt it's wifi as I've never noticed any difference with turning the router off at night or moving it as far away from my computer setup as possible. However, I only have a single router, I'm sure office complexes have many along with boosters. I agree, office work is soul crushing. Working from home is a big step up since you have more control over your environment even if the work lacks real meaning.

@sushi_is_cringe pineapple is one of my favorite go tos. I don't worry much about citric acid bc canned or fresh pineapple is peak fruit.

@MuleMan I just go by Peat’s word, not doing more than that within an hour. But I think NDT absorbs differently and might be ok to do bigger doses. I would just hate to overload the liver and have it dump what it perceives as excess t3. But I think you would be able to tell if this is happening or not

@Davida Then I find this by the man: I doubt that there is any biological significance in the idea of leptin resistance. Leptin promotes inflammation and cancer, so it might be good to be resistant to it, but I think the concept is mainly an outgrowth of the pharmaceutical industry's promotion of leptin as a cure for obesity. Some things to look at: Elevated white count -> Get an ultrasound to check for Pericarditis and other hidden infections (gum disease, wisdom tooth sockets or other cavitations - get a cavistat scan). Check appendix, etc). Drop any extra supplements and aspirin, you may be over thinning your blood. Other advice here is good, stop messing with thyroid meds unless a need is biochemically confirmed. Start meditating and learn how to relax your breathing into your belly.

@BigBeansMcGee Potato piure with milk and butter. Milk decreases the salt flavor so you can put a ton. The more milk, the less salty it is.

@milkgains_bro my glasses are like -4.25 yet my vision becomes perfect in Summer out at the forest and lakes. Like I can literally see birds and details on trees really far away. I imagine when I go skiing and stuff even in Winter it will be fine, I just haven't gone out to the mountains in Winter since I stopped wearing contact lenses. only when indoors doing a lot of reading that I feel the need for glasses (not that im particularly just near or far sighted, it's equal in both) and the more I wear them the more I need them. I think vision for the most part is correctable. I would try getting slightly progressively weaker lenses to train your eyes to get stronger and maybe shine some red light in your eyes. maybe retinol-maxxing too maybe those contact lenses you wear at night that mold your eye shape temporarily are good some how , despite the lowered oxygen part. id look into those before laser eye surgery

@happyhanneke said in Please critique my lab results.: Any comments or thoughts are appreciated. Hi, when modifying the dose, do it progressivity, on a 10 - 15 days period. Cut the dose on every other day. Taking levothyroxine won't solve the problem on long term if you can convert T4 to T3 and FT3. You need useful nutrient for deodinases to help the conversion. + iodine (I2 & potassium iodide) for other organs and tissues. I can develop if desired.

Taking too much progest e at the right time in her cycle can be a contraceptive itself, whereas estrogen is an abortifacient; probably not a great idea to override the body’s workings constantly like this though. Tracking her cycle and going outside ovulation windows can help. I imagine it would still have its positive effects in her current situation but would be better just stopping the birth control and detoxing her liver.

@jamezb46 said in Need To Figure Out Niacin and NAC Curing Me: Can you link to any studies showing that 500-600mg Niacinamide daily caused any insulin resistance? I'm not going to make this search for 3 reasons: Need time and much energy. The excerpts from the study given by Amazoniac have already given 2 sources on excess B3. You could have been first trying to reach them. Note that the excess B3 must be understood on the long term, not in cure. The studies are not all clear (different conclusions). B3 supplement has an impact on lipogenesis. The time period impact is said to be only for 2 hours. I don't feel it so (I took Kg / Lb weight when taking niacinamide 100 mg). Niacin and niacinamide are said to affect lipolysis differently. In theory. Examples of studies: *) From “Long-term Treatment With Nicotinamide Induces Glucose Intolerance and Skeletal Muscle Lipotoxicity” p4 https://raypeatforum.com/community/threads/long-term-treatment-with-nicotinamide-induces-glucose-intolerance-and-skeletal-muscle-lipotoxicity.15393/post-211103 => It is shown that nicotinamide and oxythiamine inhibit inclusion of C from glucose into free fatty acids, antivitamin intensifies lipolysis in the fatty tissue of the diseased animals." *) Possible Adverse Effects of High-Dose Nicotinamide: Mechanisms and Safety Assessment https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7277745/ NB: Possible adverse effect when taking B3 longer than 1 month. Study Link (given by Amazoniac): https://doi.org/10.1038/hr.2011.133 https://www.nature.com/articles/hr2011133 35. Li D, Sun WP, Zhou YM, Liu QG, Zhou SS, Luo N, Bian FN, Zhao ZG, Guo M . Chronic niacin overload may be involved in the increased prevalence of obesity in US children. World J Gastroenterol 2010; 16: 2378–2387. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&dopt=Abstract&list_uids=20480523 Conclusion: The appetite-stimulating effect of nicotinamide appears to involve oxidative stress. Excess niacin consumption may be a major factor in the increased obesity prevalence in US children. => A 3-h blood glucose was significantly lower after co-administration of glucose and 300 mg nicotinamide. The obesity prevalence among American children increased with the increasing per capita niacin consumption, the increasing grain contribution to niacin due to niacin-fortification, and the increasing niacin-fortified ready-to-eat cereal consumption, with a 10-year lag. The regression analyses showed that the obesity prevalence in the US children of all age groups was determined by niacin consumption. 60. Zhou SS, Li D, Sun WP, Guo M, Lun YZ, Zhou YM, Xiao FC, Jing LX, Sun SX, Zhang LB, Luo N, Bian FN, Zou W, Dong LB, Zhao ZG, Li SF, Gong XJ, Yu ZG, Sun CB, Zheng CL, Jiang DJ, Li ZN . Nicotinamide overload may play a role in the development of type 2 diabetes. World J Gastroenterol 2009; 15: 5674–5684. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&dopt=Abstract&list_uids=19960564 Conclusion: These findings suggest that nicotinamide overload, which induced an increase in plasma N(1)-methylnicotinamide, associated with oxidative stress and insulin resistance, plays a role in type 2 diabetes. => Results: Diabetic subjects had significantly higher plasma N(1)-methylnicotinamide levels 5 h after a 100-mg nicotinamide load than the non-diabetic subjects. Decrease in NAD/NADH ratio and increase in H(2)O(2) generation were also observed in human erythrocytes after exposure to N(1)-methylnicotinamide in vitro. Note (LucH): increase in H(2)O(2) = Hydrogen peroxide => ROS = oxidative stress.
