@DavidPS you're welcome. Theobromine is supposed to be less stimulating for the CNS than caffeine. Here's another study where it strongly increased tyrosine hydroxilase and dopamine receptors in a mouse model of ADHD. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/380300570_Theobromine_improves_hyperactivity_inattention_and_working_memory_via_modulation_of_dopaminergic_neural_function_in_the_frontal_cortex_of_spontaneously_hypertensive_rats

the whole point of a human forum is for people to talk to each other and not post their chatgpt logs to one another. I can do that with an llm myself. I didn't read your post because it's about as interesting as reading your lecture notes

^^^^what he said. He’s always taking about his labs and dropping some numbers, but I’ve never seen them posted, especially not in a comprehensive fashion. Maybe they’re behind a paywall, I don’t know.

@engineer said in Peaty protein bars. Why do these not exist?: Why are there no Peaty protein bars and what is stopping someone from cornering the market with them? Not a protein bar, but I’ve used homemade gummy bears (gelatin, juice, honey or sugar, salt) as a Peaty substitution while mountain climbing or running errands.

@jamezb46 said in pre workout / intra / post workout: @BioEclectic Why do you think lactic acid produces DOMS? From what i had read at the old RPF forum, though i always hold open the possibility that i have either misconstrued or misremembered whatever i had read. Not sure if this applies but I do know it noticeably reduces work or shoe related foot soreness. Mag sulfate and Mag bicarbonate.

@sneedful I don't remember precisely what they said, but I believe they said they couldn't get me exact info about how it's manufactured. Maybe it's changed since then, or maybe the person I spoke to wasn't clear -- it was a few years ago.

Thanks for the interesting study. I eat fish but I do not take daily fish oil supplements. My theory is: fish oil supplements ≠ eating fish This study does not disprove my theory. The study excluded people who eat fatty fish. I can only assume that fish eaters would have skewed the results.

@gg12 I don't know if you can find Dr. Mercola and Strong Sista's videos on how bad PUFA is. I prefer Strong Sista's as Dr. Mercola is getting old and he is starting to wonder off the subject or ger too detailed, and unaware he has lost the audience.

@Corngold I can hardly fault the author if I were to treat him like myself when I started my journey into knowing Peat. To fully grasp his ideas, one simply cannot treat it like a book report you rush thru a weekend of research. Ray doesn't have a Reader's Digest version, and I doubt anyone can write one either if a prerequisite to writing one involves reading and understanding everything he has written like one would do in going through a 7yr pHD program. But no such program exists.

@Insomniac This is not scientific or precise, I'm not sure what's going on, but I get a noticeable increase in body temp, ramping up metabolism when I take 1000-3000mg aspirin with 1000-2000mg caffeine throughout the day. No noticeable fat loss tho like with DNP.

@nofreepeat Older studies on children's with type 1 diabetes showed a significant improvement in symptoms after removal of the parathyroid glands. This means that there is a big connection to calcium regulation. Calcium, vitamin D, vitamin K, magnesium. Test your PTH levels...

@Rah1woot I feel that being erect and well-postured is no different from having good materials used in constructing a building. When I finished a year of taking therapeutic magnesium, with the intent of beefing up my magnesium stores for good bowel movement without relying on eating fiber (which I had always relied on pre-Peat), and which isn't good as fiber breeds bacteria that produces serotonin for bowel movement - I noticed it seemed natural and effortless for me to stand straight (like the way Ronald Reagan would stand, for I admired his bearing). Together with having good calcium sources in what I eat, as well as magnesium sources, especially in well cooked leaves, I found that the body would more easily support itself . Weston Price would observe the good structure of tribal people as well. They have a natural good posture, and they don't go to fashion modeling school to walk like models would. I had bad posture growing up. And by some twist of fate, I met a car accident and I was laid to recover in a hospital for a month, with a minor fracture at my thoracic. I was put on a cast for 3 months after being released, and was told I have to do a daily backstretch exercise to develop back muscles to further give support to the spine, weakened by the minor fracture. All these I went through and did, and my posture improved. But I don't wish a car accident on anyone, and I recommend good nutrition instead, especially with calcium and magnesium. I'll throw in the other electrolytes for good measure.

I do plan on getting started on Pregnenolone. But I wanted to hear what other people in here take before I test something out. Im rare here I believe But I take no supplements And use food exclusively Occasionally I really like aspirin for my menstrual cycle purposes What are you looking for for yourself?

@SpaceManJim it's in his vitamin and mineral 101 guide, idk if it's a paid thing but it's on Anna's archive note he does not recommend 20mg mk4 that I've seen. that's just an example list I made with that amount. my point is to show maybe megadosing k2 mk4 isn't a great idea if the other fat solubles aren't stocked up

You’re welcome, @RPadmirateur. Thank you for letting me know you sent a PM as I wasn’t notified. My apologies if I gave you the impression that I’m a health professional, but I have no medical training so I don’t do consultations. Complex carbs triggered my hypoglycemia, but not simple sugars—the latter prevented it—and there was no transition to fruitarianism—I developed a severe case of gastritis when I had SIBO, which left me unable to digest anything but fruit. I didn’t go long without eating as that would crash my blood sugar, and there wasn’t a concern for stomach emptying time using dairy, eggs and seafood, no. I take 1 1/2 grains of Armour, no extra T3, with meals, this way I can safely go above the physiological dose of 4 mcg of T3 per hour. Since my diet varied when I still had hypoglycemia, I’ll give you an example day of eating that worked best for me and continues to: When I first wake up (5:00 am): Tea (decaf or herbal) sweetened with honey or Dolcedi apple sweetener Breakfast (7:00 am): Compôte with a chunk of raw cheese or flourless banana crêpes stuffed with strained yogurt and an all fruit jam (St. Dalfour), and a glass of juice Snack (9:00 am): Hot, spiced cider Lunch (11:30 am): A slice of crustless quiche (3rd pic from the bottom) or seared scallops with honey butter, a glass of raw milk and banana nice cream (last pic) Snack (2:00 pm): Hot, spiced cider Dinner (5:00 pm): Strained yogurt with jam or zucchini soup topped with eggs and strained yogurt (2nd pic from the bottom), a glass of raw milk, and a glass of juice Snack (7:00 pm): Sweetened tea Basically, I have fruit and animal protein at every meal and juice or tea between meals, and make sure to get sufficient calories throughout the day or else my sleep suffers.
